I believe everyone wants to have a good life,most Africans believe they can only have it in the west,but however it is,before u decide to make such a big decision, am sure u should do good research, compare both parties, then u move,don't move because is Canada or whatever, u will end up in a big mess,life in Africa is good, on my case,

In 2003 i gained admission into Calvin college Michigan, but after much effort I couldn't go, my SAT score was so good that the college was willing to defer my admission for a year, but still, it never worked out and I was disappointed. Fast forward to 2020, I've built a tech company in Nigeria (it is known within the fleet industry),valued at $5m as at January and debt free. Started another Energy company last month. Will that be the case if I am in USA? Probably not atleast not without debt. I am a millionaire even by $ standard.
My point is, it is neither here nor there, nothing is guaranteed anywhere. But dont jump on a plane with just an hope especially when you have something paying you well here

I'm Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 guy who was raised in the states. Many of my relatives lived in the UK. You sounded like one of my cousins in the UK. Anyway I remember when I was younger, I worked in a toll booth operator. There was a Indian man l worked with, he told me he regretted coming to the states. He told and showed me pictures of him in India. He was a successful lawyer, had a nice house cars. He said his wife play the immigration lottery and won to come to the states. He thought he could continue his legal practice,but couldn't due to financial problems. He said he can't go back to India,for he had sold everything to come to the states. He said that listen to his wife and coming was his biggest mistake in his life

I am learning a whole lot here, back home here in Nigeria lot of these stuff happen too.
Phrankleen, we are immigrants always want to come to the West for a better life, for our kids and economy but then want then want to west to endorse all the backwards and negative things about our cultures, in particular when it comes to children's and women''agency. We then shout racism because these countries insist that we adhere to all the moral and legal codes that make them attractive to us. There is bad in both genders and we cannot blame women entirely for how things turn out when we immigrate.
PARTNERSHIP! I think relationships are supposed to have that base, give and take and all that stuff. Masculinity is really fragile and the system forces men into certain roles that are restrictive and dehumanizing. Phrankleen, human rights are also human rights-some men want a woman who is from the bush" and not worldly so that they can live sme kind of life where they are "kings" and women have no say.
