  1. In as much as i agree with you, In coming years probably if African leaders stop being selfish, Africa may rise as a superpower not just economically and politically but also militarily which includes nuclear arsenal. Africa unite and fight these foreigners (USA, Russia,China, Europe, etc) in order to stop their involvement on the continent and encouraging limitation and dependence ✊✊🇳🇬✝️🌍

  2. Remember, Mandela was a marxist and we could not leave nuclear capabilities to a possible unstable communist regime. As for capabilities, South Africa still has all the knowledge and some tech, but this will never be made known or handed to the present government as they have proved themselves to be destroyers, not builders.

  3. Making nukes is the simplest technology that ever existed. It's the issue of separation of isotopes which any school lab is able to carry out. The six methods of isotope separation we have described so far (diffusion, distillation, centrifugation, thermal diffusion, exchange reactions, and electrolysis) have all been tried with some degree of success on either uranium or hydrogen or both.

  4. Even though I am a fan of your videos and usually your train of thought, I believe that there are more reasons for no African countries at present having no nukes. First, African countries tend to be far more unstable as to their governments. Say what you want to say about the US, Russia, China, India, France, UK, India and Israel, but they don't tend to have coups every couple of years. Not even north Korea. Pakistan does have them and they are the wildcard as to the stability of their regime, and, given that they tend to be on the more islamist side, so therefore are a threat if Islamic terrorists get their hands on it. And before anyone says the US bombed Japan in World War 2, yes, they did, they ended the war without the need for an armed invasion, protected Japan from the incoming Soviet invasion that would have made a German style scenario in Japan and haven't used them in anger since August 1945.

Do you think a person like Chad's Habre, or the Central African Emperor Boukase wouldn't have used them?

Furthermore, nukes are extremely expensive to build, maintain, secure and launch. Every 5 years, the tritium must be refurbished, at between $100k to $1 million dollars. And that doesn't even include your required industrial base, large amounts of scientists and researchers. If a more developed country like Iran can't master them in 20 years, more scientifically backwards African countries can't reach that goal, while battling hunger and building basic utility and educational infrastructure.

So, my conclusion is that, Africa, at present, doesn't need, can't finance them, or have the technical capabilities. In the future, if Africa continues developing and it's economy grows and politics stabilizes, I can see them having the bomb responsibly, but not at present and under current conditions… Too much must be solved first

  5. They had nuclear weapons when the whites were in power when they lost power the dismantle the nuclear program .So what are u going to do now u all deseverd to be reconolised yap yap yap yap allways talking about nonses.

  6. North Korea's nukes are not the biggest deterrent: the North Koreans don't have a delivery system. Instead the deterrent is the rocket and artillery arsenal that could destroy Seoul.

  7. Don't even come close to talking about nuclear plant in africa when we are still a century behind in every aspect…africa is a disgrace of a continent with reckless political leaders operating under the keywords of corruption, embezzlement & greed

  8. The blackest continent in the world allows other races to come in and dominate each other. While black African countries continue to fight each other. This is insane. No kind of rebellion. Africans don't produce anything. Ingenuity and manufacturing is their only hope.

  9. Wait let me fix that title for you, friend.
"Why Africa CANNOT Own Nuclear Weapons found itself getting swamped by foreign nations around the globe"😂 Foreign powers don't care about feelings. You either have the means to repel them or you lose.

  10. African countries have more pressing socioeconomic needs than acquisition of nuclear arsenals. It's also capital intensive to develop, secure and maintain nuclear weapons. No country in Africa is currently facing an existential threat to justify the nuclear deterrent option. This may change in the future.
