  1. I always stay at the Novotel just down the Quai Grenelle from the Eiffel Tour and beside the statue of Liberte. I've been staying there for over ten years. I know it's not "the real" Paris, but I love walking along the Seine, and it is perfectly positioned to see all of the major tourist sites. I'd love to be there now walking down to Notre Dame then up to the Luxemburg Garden, maybe find a restaurant in the Latin Quarter before heading back and not interact with anyone, except the waiter.

  2. Si vous visitez Belleville et que vous cherchez une belle vue sur la ville, je vous conseille la butte Bergeyre. C'est un endroit assez discret d'où vous pouvez admirer la butte Montmartre.

  3. Interesting choices….I almost always stay in the banking area just a short walk from l'Opera and Madelleine. Hotels there are nice and quiet and quick access to good bars and restaurants.!!

  4. Bonjour Lucile! thank you for your videos, could you please help me? I arrived from London on the Eurostar train at 11: am on Saturday in June until Thursday ( 6 days ) with my 10 year old granddaughter, we will in a RBB in Rue Martre Clichy, is that area safe? can you also please tell me what I should take to get to my stay, a train or bus? i carry only suitcase. I greatly appreciate your help.

  5. All well and good if have money to go too expensive hotels hmmm and know the metro very well🙄. but ones in city centre, near Gare du nord still decent, you can see part of the the eiffel tower from hotel margot.and great cafés and restaurants, shops, metro etc near by actually, seen the reviews for the cafés already too.And stop worrying about so called bad ppl, just be aware and stand up for yourself, not all are horrible aswell.

  6. Thank you for this great neighborhood review! I am staying in Batignolles for my first time in Paris. Is that neighborhood too far from Tourist Central in your opinion? I am not averse to taking the Metro and it does not look like that long a ride between Batignolles and Tourist Central. Thank you !

  7. I really wish you would add to your commentary which arrondissement the hotel or restaurant you are talking about is located in. It makes it much easier for us 'foreigners' to know the general location that you are discussing. I've been to Paris two times in my life (love it). Thank you for your consideration.

  8. Hi, I hope you can answer my question as I really value your opinion upon seeing your videos. Which is the better area, that of Break and Home Paris Italie Porte de Choisy or that of Campanile Paris 15 Tour Eifel. Thank you very much.

  9. I'm not sure this lady understands the cost of living!!! Look, if you can find a place to rent already in any arrondissement that's walking distance to the hyper center, that's good. The only place to avoid is really near seine saint Denis. Apparently this has changed now. There's barbes which remains infiltrated with shady looking people.

Paris is one city where safety generally depends on you.

  10. During several visits, I have stayed in Batignolles, in Marais, Rue Cler, Gare du Nord, and near Jardin des Plantes. Most recently, I stayed in Menilmontant. Each has their good points. If I visit again, I would like to stay closer to Belleville. When I visit Paris, as a Jewish Sabbath observer, I like to be within walking distance of a synagogue. I also like and recommend the Luxembourg Gardens (where I can sit & smoke a cigar & watch the people and also the ducks.)
