On crossings or give ways, where visibility is limited, i always open both windows to listen for anything coming.
If the van slammed on the brakes at the last minute, the impact could very well have been that hard with the tanker going 55. Physics
Some people in these comments clearly didn’t listen to the video
Jesus Christ!!!
If you didn't notice the media didn't put forth any kind of ideal or idea about how we can help prevent these things the media is only here to make a buck off of the problem
Please pay attention
Video or it didn’t happen
If you don't see a stop sign and a big semi you probably on your phone.
😢
God bless those poor souls 😢😢🙏🙏🙏
😢
Keep screwing with the touch screen computer where the radio used to be while driving, worse than pissing with a cell phone! See it all the time!
Knocked the front axle off horrific collision
.
Yeah right. No 4 way intersection ice hole newscaster
Van at fault.
.damn liars
RIP! Prayers to the families involved!
My daughter died the same way, only the stop sign had a tree in front of it, by the time she seen it, it was too late she hit the brakes went sideways across the T intersection and rolled car into ditch, in the middle of the night coming home from work in rural north Ill, the county cut the trees down the next day. She just turned 18. Worst night of our lives. 20 years ago, and it seems like yesterday.
This wouldn't happen if the intersection was a roundabout.
That's a terrible thing God bless all the families.
The STOP sign should be made bigger so the drivers can see from great distance before coming to a stop.
Styrofoam semis these days
💔🙏
Did the adults have seat belts on? Were the children in the right size car seats?
Pray over your babies, when they leave the house. When they re-enter. I bless mine in the name of father, son and Holy Spirit by making the cross on their forehead and back of neck. We just don’t know…
What there no telling you is they were illegals, human trafficking strikes again.
Stop the mass crashes! Ban automobiles!
I bet it's a w&o&m&a&n driver who caused all this,or a teenager
Had a trucker last night behind me after going down the apex of a hill flash his lights. Dude was just going 40mph up a hill then wants us going 90mph down the hill gtfo with your flashing
You don't know if it was a four way stop intersection ? What is it a secret ? Ask somebody , or is that not important ?
I found the location on google maps and street view . No stop ahead sign or white stop lines on county rd J at either side of hwy 95 . Just small stop signs . Wisconsin do something👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Praying for the families. So sad
While i feel so bad for the victims but noticed nothing much about the semi driver was mentiond.
They wrote alot about the van,yet nothing about thee semi drivet.
How can you be so stupid as to feel that a semi moving at highway speed has a stop sign or is going to be able to stop? I'm betting that, in the end, they're going to discover that the van was full of illegal aliens.
I am willing to bet the truck driver one did have his headlights on two he was driving about 20 miles an hour over speed limit . The van did run stop probably a rolling stop did see truck no headlights on and disaster i see tanker drivers flying all over America cattle hauler are even more dangerous . One thing everyone needs to remember no matter what speed a truck is going they cant stop on a dime it takes a loaded truck abot the distance of three football fields to come to a stop
Amén 😇🤗😇 Dios saludar l llove this photo! 😮❤ 2:51
Wrecks keep increasing & distracted driving keeps happening. And some drivers can't judge proper distance either. I drive a semi & i delivered a load to a menards store in paducah, ky on US HWY 60. If you leave out of the exit of this menards store on US HWY 60 & you want to go west, you have to make sure that the road is clear enough & that no traffic is flowing or close to the intersection in either the eastbound or westbound directions to go west. You cannot just pull out into the intersection & sit there; you have to make sure that there's a big & safe enough gap between you & the traffic to go westbound. There's no traffic light at that particular intersection either. This is what this van should've done, waited for a big & safe enough gap before pullling out into the intersection!! Looks like the semi driver had no room to properly slow down or stop once they pulled out in front of it 😢😢!! #IJS #R.I.P.
Any Dash Cam Footage from the Semi or Van? Vehicles should have a type of “Black Box” similar to Aircraft.
Travelled that road many times. Very light traffic as its rural. Such a tragedy
Convert this intersection to a roundabout to prevent this type of wreck!
My condolences to the victims and their families
Speed is a factor
