Uganda to start construction of SGR connecting to Kenya
The railway, which will link Kampala to the port of Mombasa in Kenya, is expected to cut the cost of transporting cargo by almost half, compared to transporting by road.

Why do you say is different than Tanzania because in Tanzania you had to go under rocks and rocks but in Uganda you don’t such obstacles which I think Uganda is easier than Tanzania
Uganda should build, simultaneously, the section from Kampala to Mpondwe at the border with DR Congo. This way, when the Kenya SGR eventually reaches Malabar at the Uganda /Kenya border, there will be a seamless connection all the way to DR Congo. Much time has been lost already, since the EAC members launched the SGR dream in Mombasa, May 2017.
Congratulations Uganda will finally start on its project, and more so, they chose an electrified railway system
government will take money and spend on them selves in true African style
East Africa will be great.Hope somalis can stop fighting
Thievee
IT WILL ALSO REDUCE CONGESTION ON ROADS EVENTUALLY TO PREVENT UNNECESSARY ACCIDENTS.
In the next 10 years, East African Community will be a powerhouse.
Tanzania is the role model to many countries Uganda including congratulations to Uganda thou
Congrats uganda
Kenya's SGR is nowhere to connect with Uganda's SGR as it has Stuck in Nairobi. Uganda should have planned its SGR to connect with Tanzania SGR first because Tanzania SGR has reached Mwanza Region which is close to Lake Victoria and Uganda border.
Since 2012 up date Uganda was singing about building railway.
while in cameroon a leader stays outside for 49 days and people went to the airport dancing for him
This way create jobs good
These are thievies can't do anything
Uganda is struggling to get money to build the East Africa Oil pipeline.
Why don’t they put that railway money to finish the Oil pipeline first and build railway later??
West Africa leaders bush looting
CONGRANTS UGANDA GREAT DEVELOPMENT
am Ugandan but trust me all this won't happen. its just another trick to ask for loans and later embezzle the funds
East Africa connecting while west is separating from each other
Rain way is very important for moving goods and people only if the government are serious to Revolutionist infrastructures
I love my Ugandan people. You guys just need to separate culture from how you do business. Ugandans let the most respected person lead instead of the most capable. That's a cultural problem.
