It was the classical Hitler salute to be exact. The simple nazisalute is when the arm is just thrust upward, without hesitation or extra movements. The classical Hitler salute is: Hand over heart, then salute. So, yeah: There is no mistake, this was not the "roman salve", that was explicitly the Hitler salute. He knew what he was doing, also because he agrees with anti-semitic comments on his twitter platform, mingles with nazis in public, and he spreads the anti-semitic nazi conspiracy known as "Cultural Marxism" (which only nazis would spread in all earnesty). All this proves: Elon Musk knew exactly what he was doing and he did it on purpose. No "awkward" gesture or any other excuse for this nazisxxt. On purpose.
Also, to all the nazi supporters: Save it. Your lies don't matter. This is on video – he did that and you excusing it doesn't change this fact at all.
Watch the body language as he does it. It came from the heart all right.

Anyone else remember David Bowie's "Thin White Duke" alter ego? He was accused of doing the same "salute" while standing in an open Mercedes like an Austrian Painter. When the backlash came his way, he was smart enough not to fan the flames like the South African nazi: Times have changed and not for the better.

Don't worry, it was just a "Roman" salute. The ancient Romans were very peaceful and did certainly not expand their empire by military force or take slaves and enjoy them fighting to the death publicly. And they did not celebrate their leaders as some sort of god.
