@Bashi-h8w They are there because it is necessary! Ethiopian forces are well known for their bravery, heroism and military discipline! That is why they are always selected in the African Peace keeping forces. They put their lives at risk to protect innocent civilians and put the terrorists out. There is no money in this world be enough to compensate their precious lives!
Also some Somalis crooks and dealers are bringing and robbing these poor people by promising to smuggle them into Middle east. Pundland region is hotspot for these kinds of illegal schemes. They had been doing this over decades now. Their regional clannish admin is either incompetent and currupt or turns a blind eye fron these illegal operations, if not aiding and abiding all. They have to stop these kinds of illegal business in midst that eventually damages their security and lives of their own people.

They keep weakening and dragging down the citizens and country for so long in exchange for cheap and short sighted gains or crumbs .
