Draikotune is good
Cd Baby is a joke now, they dont have any customer support and you wont have an official artist channel. Just find another distributor. They are terrible
Before if you release with CD Baby for $9.99 your single will be out in 5 to 7days But now, they have a Fast Forward fee of $24 or else you'll be in their inspection queue 7-14 days. (From CD Baby: Typically, the inspection process can take 1-2 business days with Fast Forward and 7-14 business days without it. Once your release passes inspection, it will be delivered to our digital partners, and it usually goes live on most partner sites within 1-2 weeks, although some sites can take up to 8 weeks.)
Direct to consumer is coming. All of this bs a la carte distribution is going to be passe soon. People are going to be forced to buy singles and albums again soon. People have been too spoiled.
Any company who fines me can kiss my business goodbye. Also, taking 30% or 20% of YT content ID? That can be a huge chuck if your song takes off! BTW, PHUCK SPOTIFY! Worst company and CEO on the planet. They will scrape your indie songs for their stupid AI, and then you'll copyright striked. Phuck them all. Register your songs with a non-American PRO before you release anything. Do a bunch of physical product and radio, pick one streamer. I found Amazon to make the most sense. Apple doesn't seem to get any plays for me.
Hey quick question.. I set my release date for my single on landr for a month out. It's still in review. Is it because of the release date that they are taking their time?
5:38 “for example” twice 🤭
Lander – YouTube Content ID – 20% commission
To do takedowns on Symphonic partner costs you a kidney, too invasive, exclusivity, royalties, related rights, sound exchange,… In short, the best distributor does not exist, but a compromise
how much Artist Landr discussion package Alow you to distribute yearly
Identifyy…what you think about that?
Get a facilitating vendor with a major independent distributor (The Orchard/Soy) and let them do all the work for you, it's worth every penny on the front and back end. You know a guy right here.
United masters slick be robbing me it’s like once I switched from tunecore to United masters I stop bringing in money
I will try that LANDR
What about ditto
Hello mate, nice video, I got one question? any news from cdbaby? I am trying to contact several times customer service but nothing, there no more? just AI support?
Thanks!!!!!
Aye! LANDR video, please. (LANDR = Left AND Right)
dope stuff.. do a video about LANDR..
I was about to hit the purchase button for LANDR Distribution Pro, till I read the terms and conditions. Apparently you need to show proof of rights(license agreement) for all third party sounds on your release, even if the sounds are royalty free. As someone who throws away receipts, and as a producer that mainly works with samples and loops from free sample packs, this is a complete nightmare and it’s just not worth the hassle. But hey, if you keep a proof of rights for your sounds on your tracks, go for it
Very helpful, thanks!
im gonna try to fix my payments method google slash youtube, I need to wait next month because i have a monthly basic incomes and i am not abundant, i will grow through 4000 hours very slowly, maybe in 2 years ill have a 100k channel
WE ALL NEED TO KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD SONGS TO ITUNES ETC OURSELVES!!! WITH TODAYS APPS AND TECHNOLOGIES THIS SHOUOD BE EASY TO DO!!
Musicians need to stop promoting Spotify because the streaming platform’s payout structure fails to provide fair compensation for their work. Despite millions of streams, artists earn only a fraction of a cent per play, while Spotify’s CEO and shareholders continue to amass wealth. By supporting platforms like iTunes or Amazon, where artists receive a larger share of the revenue, fans can directly contribute to the sustainability of musicians’ careers and help ensure the future of the music industry. The current system is unsustainable and ultimately undermines the livelihood of artists.
Awl
Cdbaby
Distrokid
Landr
Damn Spotify promote for apple music. Amazon music, Tidal music, Deezer users also.
LANDR might a good distributor but I struggle to believe it’s perfect and you didn’t say anything bad about it… so that’s very suspicious 🤨
I think I’m going with either Venice or United master I’m fed up with distrokid
I'm going to come off Distrokid. I have many reasons and can't even begin writing here. Going to try CD Baby next, or any better suggestions pls?
Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of information, can you please provide more info about Ditto music , I use their distribution services and what I just heard from you about how these guys operate is really something I would love to pay more attention to Thanks 🎉
Which distributor can you offer me which offers bulk upload of songs, because I have about 1000 new songs
Do you think CDBaby audio quality of the tracks it's not so good for the market ? 44.1 HZ, 16 Bit
Please let me know what you think about it . Thank you !
Thank you . You are right , Distrokid it's not worth at all . They made me pay for Cover Licence of some public domain songs, they never realease my music on Instagram and Facebook . They manipulate all the time, and give wrong information . It's so sad . I wish I never signed with this Distrokid Distributor. Now I am in the process to move all my realeases to another Distributor .
I Dont like distrokid because recently they removed my song for detected fake plays I Never pay for any kind of fake plays I Cant afford to pay even for promotions.
Lander video rundown charted services
Thanks for the information! Your comparison helped me to make my decision.
The Distrokid layoffs/union busting and subsequent lack of real customer support has led me to look elsewhere. Thanks for this info 🙂
United Masters – found out thru the support that CID per release costs about 5 bucks and must be ordered from the phone APP. Thank me later.
I use Soundrop and Symphonic for all CIDs
sorry for not watching but there is at least 10 more you not even mention
OK, it’s kind of a information overload. My Son❤️ is an up-and-coming artist. He has a few songs he’s done in the studio and a few songs he’s done on his own. I want to get his songs on all platforms and get him making money and hopefully get discovered I don’t mind paying for a subscription, but which one should I pick?
So Honestly Every Distributor Taking a Piece Of Our Pie 🥧 Sooner Or Later
Thanks Great Info Video !
We need the LANDA video 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Let's delve more into Lander
Hey, Do you have a video that explains how to make money with the music stream platforms?
If CDBaby offered Splits they would be the perfect DSP.
Distrokid is email support only and they all say roughly the same thing. Its dog water, dont use distro.
