Cd Baby is a joke now, they dont have any customer support and you wont have an official artist channel. Just find another distributor. They are terrible
Before if you release with CD Baby for $9.99 your single will be out in 5 to 7days But now, they have a Fast Forward fee of $24 or else you'll be in their inspection queue 7-14 days. (From CD Baby: Typically, the inspection process can take 1-2 business days with Fast Forward and 7-14 business days without it. Once your release passes inspection, it will be delivered to our digital partners, and it usually goes live on most partner sites within 1-2 weeks, although some sites can take up to 8 weeks.)
Direct to consumer is coming. All of this bs a la carte distribution is going to be passe soon. People are going to be forced to buy singles and albums again soon. People have been too spoiled.

I was about to hit the purchase button for LANDR Distribution Pro, till I read the terms and conditions. Apparently you need to show proof of rights(license agreement) for all third party sounds on your release, even if the sounds are royalty free. As someone who throws away receipts, and as a producer that mainly works with samples and loops from free sample packs, this is a complete nightmare and it’s just not worth the hassle. But hey, if you keep a proof of rights for your sounds on your tracks, go for it

Thank you . You are right , Distrokid it's not worth at all . They made me pay for Cover Licence of some public domain songs, they never realease my music on Instagram and Facebook . They manipulate all the time, and give wrong information . It's so sad . I wish I never signed with this Distrokid Distributor. Now I am in the process to move all my realeases to another Distributor .
I Dont like distrokid because recently they removed my song for detected fake plays I Never pay for any kind of fake plays I Cant afford to pay even for promotions.
