  1. Right on sister! Our language is dying. Hopefully it is not too late. It happened so fast. I think the decline took a nose dive within the last 10 years and the impact has been devastating. I'm only in my 30s and when i was growing up in Accra, if you don't speak Ga, you cannot be part of the kool kids. Nowadays I meet a lot of gen Z's and even millennials who say they are ashamed to speak Ga in Accra of all places. Very sad

  2. Please, carry on speaking Ga. I sort of agree with you that you don't find many people who speak Ga. The problem is that Twi is false on people. Every Ghanaian feels if you are a Ghanaian you must speak Twi and straight away on meeting you they start speaking in Twi. Which I think it's wrong and when you tell them you speak that language they ask you 'why aren't you a Ghanaian. You don't see a Polish or Italian saying how far will my language take so let me adopt English or French or Portuguese because its widely spoken. I speak Ga and I'm learning to write and read it. I don't speak Twi but I understand few words. Your Language and your name is what makes you you. A lot of people in Ghana has sold their identity and they don't know where they belong. 👌✌
