Why do you put a plastic bag over the food. Plastic bag have chemical material in it that can get into the food which is not good for your health. Also the perception is not good. It looks beyond primitive and stereotypical. No ones does that and also put it on video. It's embarrassing to say the least.

Don’t know why but watching this made me cry. Growing up I had a close friend whose family was from Liberia. Her mother always had a pot of jollof rice on the stove and their home always smelled so delicious. Such precious memories. Made me miss home.

I know this video is old but I have a question. Did you at any point put water into the stew to get a boil? I just saw the onions and shrimp and sausage go into oil then tomato paste or sauce?

My suggestion is to use aluminum foil and not plastic bag to put over your rice
