How Do I reach you, I would love to visit Togo ๐น๐ฌ will you be kind enough to show me around please! Thanks
I am sorry to inform you but KARA is nooooot the home of fufu in Togo.
That is Kpalimรฉโฆ..
The northern people in Togo are black arabs living in the Sahel desert for centuries before coming and settling in Togo.
They are not even Togolese.
Their food culture is totally different than the Ewe people in the south, who are the native Togolese people.
11:49 โ very impressive ๐โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
10:00 โ yeah man. She took out the puree with her finger. ๐ฏ
7:03 โ she's like 'what is going on here?'
I hope one day there is a machine to make fufu
Infact, I like the way they pound the fufu in Togo. By the way, are you related to the people in the video? You bear some resemblance with the people
Kpalime is the hart of fufu or pounded yam
Thatโs what I called โeating organicโ.
cut out the fake accent!
Logust bean
Good job ๐๐พ but kpalime is home of fufu not Kara or North
Thanks Dru. I like the way you presented. Fufu and peanut soup, the best! Out of my own curiosity, what is the ethnicity/language of that place?
In Ghana we eat yam fufu as well.
Home of fufu in Togo is Kpalimรฉ, they eat fufu morning, noon and night.
I miss my country and my true food
In Ghana we use yams and cocoyams for fufu as well. Cocoyam fufu goes well with palmnut soup. Or for those with type 2 diabetes can take plantain only fufu .
If you want cassava fufu you will get it much in kpalime and at Atakpame you only yam fufu , Lomรฉ you get both.
Iam from. VoltA region, and yes it takes 2 or 3 people to pound fufu depending on household size and quality.
You've really enjoyed Togolese meal.
Wow! Love that you are always part of it all โค
Wow this is nice visiting Togo soon
Wowwwww this is greatโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Kara is not home for fufu.
You need to go to kpalime and atakpame. Thanks
North or Kara is not a home of fufu
In some part of Nigeria they use just yam too the same way and pound the same like this Togo people. They call it pounded yam.

Great video as always ๐
The peanut paste is also available in Togo. That's what I watched my mother use all my life. I think Tanti Immaculรฉ wanted to make sure she shows you all the steps from scratch. The little seeds you blended with the garlic for the meat is the Togo version of anise seeds. As for the dark seasoning, I think it is dawadawa (African locust bean paste). Thank you again Dru for showcasing my home country. I have been learning a lot. I thought Fufu is originally from Kpalimรฉ but you said Kara so I will have to confirm from my sources lol. Well done ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐
Nice one
You did a great job๐
