I slightly disagree with the elimination of plant protein like egusi and peanut. We should rather reduce things like animal protein. Egusi is rich and full of heart healthy fats that can actually heal high cholesterol. Our ancestors had more vegetables and fresh at that! They had fufu but nothing like snacks and high sugar drinks plus the large volume of animal protein people are consuming today.
I am screaming here. I’ve decided to start a series in how healthy African foods are. Thank you for sharing this. We can change this terrible narrative.
