I mentioned I'd upload another video today (Wed) in my most recent upload on the Congressional negotations atm, but NYT broke that a temporary funding deal was made for at least another week contingent on some concessions.
I'll upload the video tomorrow instead, as I am unsure if what I wrote out will be accurate at the moment given the news. I'd rather be a tiny bit delayed than have an out-of-date analysis by the time I publish haha, sorry! 🙂
Do note! I mention the Houthis are not a decades long military and political operation akin to Hamas – they aren’t. They have existed since the mid-2000’s fighting against the Yemeni government to varying degrees of success. My statement was intended to point out that without direct Iranian/IRGC funding or guidance in the mid-2010’s, they’d likely remain a stubborn and dangerous force – sure. But, without direct Iranian involvement, they’d be nowhere near confident enough to taunt the US and allies in the Red Sea as they are today – at least in my view.
