  1. Garmin makes beautiful and smart watches, but they fall short in terms of durability. They are very fragile, scratch easily, and the paint wears off quickly. Compared to the Apple Watch, which is strong and resistant, Garmin watches seem weak and prone to damage. Given their high price, they don’t offer the robustness one would expect. It might be better to consider other watch brands that provide better value for money. Expensive and fragile—that’s the impression Garmin gives.

  2. Are there any classy watch faces that look good? Something similar to the Galaxy ultra face? I've been considering buying a Garmin watch, as the build quality is better than samsung, but the watch faces do not look good.

  3. Great review, thanks. But there is one problem with the Fenix8 that no one mentioned in the reviews. Maybe other people have encountered this too. In apnea and snorkeling mode, the maps do not have zoom. If you are spearfishing or snorkeling on the sea surface, using a map without zoom, finding points and objects on the map is extremely difficult. It is not clear how Garmin allowed this? Maybe they just forgot? In other models- Descent 1 or 2 , which I personally used for almost 7 years, the maps have zoom in these applications. Dear , you have a huge number of subscribers, please report the problem to Garmin. This should be fixed as soon as possible. The Fenix8 is a wonderful watch, I really like it, but this problem is very serious for those who use the watch for spearfishing and snorkeling. Best regards, Roman.

  4. Great review! Fenix 8 looks like an awsome device however for someone who is new to the Garmin family and thinking about getting his first garmin watch is it worth jumping straight for a fenix 8 or get a bargain on a 7x Pro? Seen it on some places as low as £550 🤔 which is exactly half the price of fenix 8 AMOLED

  5. I made the leap from Epix Gen 2 and I’m super happy. It’s more comfortable to wear and sleep in, has a bigger screen, a nice UI, and looks stunning on the wrist. I used Watch 6 & ultra before Epix and I have to say the Fenix 8 is everything I wanted from all of those watches but never got. It’s a complete product.

  6. Will be selling my Fenix 7 Saphire Pro for the Amoled screen. I love the Fenix 7 but have always been disappointed by the display. I think the Fenix 8 will resolve that for me.

  7. Overpriced tech that is outdated in 2 to 3 years… there are many competitors like the Apple and Samsung ULTRAS which are half the cost with the same ruggedness using titanium cases… Samsung will give 50% of the cost back after 3 or 4 years. Does not make sense to by garmin.

  8. The chart at 1:53 was quite useful for me as I initially wanted the green 47mm one, but now I see its screen isn't AMOLED, so I need to go for the orange or black one instead. Thanks a lot!

  9. Hi. I am looking for this smartwatch but I have a question mark about surface scratches. Titanium finishing or dark gray coating? Someone noticed the titanium like yours is more delicate than dark gray and many scratches are present after few days.
I have the 7X dark gray and after 2 years is still perfect.
Let me know your experience. Thank you so much.

  10. If the 965 would have a sapphire display (which had the Galaxy watch 5 pro for 400bucks its not THAT expensive) there would be no reason to get the fenix or epix at all.

  11. This video looks like typical marketing made for GARMIN, the watch in your opinion is excellent, but there are many reviews that show its weak points that need improvement. Why don't you mention it? well, I can only guess….

  12. Does the Fenix series have the same daily Running suggestions as the Forerunner series? I’m looking to buy a Garming for running and swimming. But I would love to use one whilst hiking as well :))

Would you suggest the Garmin Forerunner 965 or the new Fenix 8? (If price doesn’t matter, just usage)

  13. Really looking into the Garmin fenix 8 Solar.
especially as it can also Dive and support my other sports like obstacle runs, kiting, surfing, biking, running and hiking (holiday).
Just really hope to find a 15-20% generic discount somewhere :). only function i miss is wireless/magnetic charging
the Garmin adventurer (even pricier) seems like a bad deal / outdated by the fenix 8 solar. especially for battery lifetime during multi day hikes.

  14. As always excellent and detailed review. I'm reading in Garmin forums and also on Reddit that there are lot of issues plaguing Fenix 8. Examples include dismal speaker when taking calls on the watch, frequent restarts, map is slow to refresh, Elevate 5 HR sensor is not highly accurate when compared to AW 10, dimmer in low light conditions and hard to see the display. Do you see any of these issues? Your input will help me decide to go with Fenix 8 or the Fenix E or even the newly released Huawei GT 5 Pro. Please advise.
