  1. This is truly an unfortunate piece by @DemetraKaye. I was initially going to jump on the usual bandwagon of bashing a so-called Black Billionaire, but then I decided to do some research on the Allen Media Group and found this, There are six senior executives that report to him (Allen) directly, and out of those, two are Black (including a Black Woman, Sydnie Karras (VP and Chief Accounting Officer) and Chris Malone (CFO Allen Media Group)
one Indian, Mark De Vitre, a Lebanese woman, Janice Arough (President of Network distribution), and of the two so-called White executives, one of them has been with the AMG for 27 years, Andrew Temple.
And for the record, in addition to providing greater visibility to HBCU athletics through his (Allen’s) business initiatives/negotiations, his lawsuit against Comcast helped bring about visible changes and initiatives that have provided greater access and visibility for minority business owners in the media and entertainment space.
This is an unfortunate piece and the least you could do is not be intellectually lazy and do even the slightest form of research.

  2. Yeah, he tried to get black people to rally all around him and y’all “didn’t”…as usual, when we ask our own people for support, they go “huh”🤷🏾‍♂️, and when we go to the other side for support, y’all go crying “trader” …make it make sense. (Should’ve rallied around him)

  3. Well. Slow down lady. Hold it Just like when a. Black person applies hi for a job and sees problems in being hired White. People do it too Byron ain’t trying to get sued. Relax all that and the EEeOC can look. elsewhere for trouble 🚦🤩✅

  4. While I do not know deeply or personally Byron Allen, about his choice I can say he is free to hire the most competent person in the room no matter his skin color. Not everything should be about race. If he was looking for someone with a specific resume with a different background, he is free to hire a white person if he indeed he is the most fit, the most competent.
