Why isn't there similar coverage for the grooming gangs?
another one bites the dust….
The position of bishop over centuries was foremost an appointment of a favoured individual to govern lands, populations and therefore gain wealth. A religious belief was way down the list! Therefore we should not be surprised that significant traces of this "tradition" continue with individuals such as Welby achieving such powerful positions.
Welby tendered his resignation to a monarch who was involved in covering up a certain bishop's illicit activities, was friends with a Mr J Saville and appears to take no action against the activities of his brother. My word, our institutions continue to be rotten!
so sad, as the church (and it is many a religion), trusts their leaders. They are not different or above others, just because they are part of a church. Children need to be protected. If an adult is with a child, there needs to be more than one adult and never ever one child and one adult. You would like to believe that "oh I know that person, that person is safe!" Your judgement, is never enough.
In a twist that could only be described as the "Trump Effect," Justin Welby’s resignation as Archbishop of Canterbury marks yet another example of how modern leadership is being reshaped
by a culture of public accountability and dramatic exits.
Much like other public figures since Trump's re-election, Welby seems to have felt the pressure of scandal, public scrutiny, and a growing demand for responsibility in the face of institutional failure.
Whether it’s a direct fallout from the child abuse report or just the pervasive sense of "you’re fired" that now hovers over public figures, the Archbishop's departure signals that even
church leaders are no longer immune to the wave of accountability sweeping across global leadership.
Whats with the dudes Jesus medalion?
His 666 fish hat couldn't be more obvious
The BBC will have known about this of course for years. Welby is just another socialist pervert protecting his religious pervert friends. The church is a rancid cess pit of these disgusting men.

Funny how they never face justice while they are alive, isn't it?

Never liked the lefty twonk. Already help ruin the CofE. Best friend – Smyth. You know what they say, "Birds of a feather stick together". Waiting to see how many more of Satan's disciples in the CofE will have to go 'because of ill health'? Too many nonces and paedos hiding in plain sight behind religion.
They asked the arch Bishop, would he resign a few days back? He said he was not going to resign. What as happened now for him to Change his mind now.? I believe it's a case for the police to look into and investigate
The so-called King is the Head of the made up protestant religion. He should step down..
So the archbishop who presided in the 80s and sent the abuser to Africa, gets no mention?
The only thing he’ll regret is he got found out!
Christopher Hitchens was right when he said, "When you want ordinarily good people to commit evil, you need to add religion."
This has been true not just in recent decades but for several millennia.
