Singapore is a half fake Island used by the West as a port for the oil and trade industry. I've been there. It's not that great. It's a bunch of third world rate, shopping malls and a bunch of big office buildings. You can take a bridge across the waters to Malaysia and it sucks there too.

It’s so stupid to compare a government that administrates one city where all their resources, efforts and development can be focused on area , to governments that administer 100s of cities where resources have to be shared and compromised, because of the different nature of all its cities, that’s like asking, “how is the child of that family better than mine when we both have the same pay” keep in mind they have one child and you 4 and still wondering how their child is better resourced 😐
It is poor because of exploitation, European powers and china now exploit Adrica, all the other colonized countries moved foward because there was nothing to exploit or the resources finished and when slave trade was abolished, they thrived. Africa keeps getting exploited over and over and over again
I would say Africa is poor because of neo-colonisation.
Singapore is not richer than the UK. It has a higher GDP per capita, but it’s still a far smaller economy. It’s simply in a position to exercise significant influence over trade in one of the busiest trade seas on Earth. It has also the benefit of being a point of competition between the the world hegemon (USA) and growing world power (China) and is afforded special economic privileges by both, and is protected by both. Singapore is not comparable to Africa, since it’s one city as opposed to a continent.

Africa was colonized many times since ancient times, The Romans, The Arabs, The Romans again in the force of Britain & soon China though through a different method.. Colonization does play a part in the power of a country, But first you must change the minds of the people before one can rise up to a higher station. That means not following Caucasions idea's Racial Purity ideals like Evolution & Natural Selection, Willy Lynch, & such ideals like being poor is bad.. What more is thier to life than to be able to live with your people & family & self sustain yourself with no interruptions from another power? Strive for what you want & go after it.
