If I were Ruto, and I suspect this is what he will do…I would sidestep those traps by doing nothing…just be indifferent and noncommittal about the gubernatorial election.
Besides it is only about a yr and a half to the election and the Nairobi Gov seat is a toothless one with NMS in control. It is not as consequential as it used to be.

A governor who can take advantage of being in the capital city which is if national government interest and tap into the infrastructure and low income housing developments that would easily transform #Nairobi to it's #1 position in East Africa 🌍
