Good day Sis Velile. You are so fortunate to have a legacy like that left for you. Please do everything you can to get the house in a good shape. When our parents whe they builded houses, there were no strict construction regulations. So I think the is no damp proof course on the foundation. In areas where the water table level is higher, you will always esperince the problem of water damaging the wall. Try to find someone who can put chemical damp proof course. Thanks for sharing your video.

I can really imagine how challenging it must be to maintain or look after your parents đ when they are no longer there.If the option to sell it is not what you want for now how about finding a descent reliable tenant to stay there.Get the tenant to update and inform you about everything esp when you have hired people to do or fix something around the homestead when you are in Jhb.
