  1. The greater the level of patriarchy in a society, the greater the risk for women and girls. And before people in the US start feeling self-righteous, we now live in a country where the police, judges and politicians serve an adjudicated rapist who has been accused by dozens of women of sexual harassment, assault, and rape.

  2. In very religious communities it is common for families to protect predators at all costs. The most important thing is protecting the family’s reputation and their standing within the church/community, regardless of the victim or what really happened.

I saw this a lot living in the Bible Belt. When I a young teenager 4 girls in my neighborhood were being SA’ed by a man in the neighborhood. Three of the victims were his wife’s nieces. All four girls were age 12-14. They stayed quiet out of fear of the adults’ reactions. Eventually the girls had a meeting and decided to stand together and come forward. It didn’t go good for the victims at all. The abuser was the brother-in-law to three of the victim’s parents, and just a lifelong neighbor to the 4th victim. The victim’s parents all had a meeting where they decided that saving the family’s reputation and standing with the church was more important than what happened to their daughters. Finally, the parents/adults had a meeting with the chomo where they made him promise to never rape or molest again. He promised he wouldn’t and everything immediately went back to normal, the whole incident being swept under the rug. Law enforcement was never alerted. It was a very very frustrating time for the young girls in my community.

The child rapist still lives within sight of my house. I have to drive by it every day. And I can’t even look at that man or his house without thinking about what he did to my friends and would’ve done to me if given proper opportunity. It’s been over 30 years so most of the people protecting the rapist are deceased now. And the victims are all grown and in charge of the community now.

My adult peers and I do not forget or ignore what that man did and probably continued to do (even though he promised not to🙄). The old man still lives where he always did and people leave him alone, but he’s not treated welcome or neighborly. (We are pretty much just waiting for him to pass on.) And we warn every person that will listen that a pedophile lives in that house. It sucks that he was never held accountable for his crimes, but at least his true character is common knowledge now.

  3. This made me ugly cry. I'm a mother, i may not have a daughter, but this pains me to watch a distraught mother break down, and it's worse because she can't die or give up because she still has a 3 year old to protect and support on top of her sister. I hope she gets the justice that needs to he served against that monster and his entire family in that house. I hope she is protected especially from his crazy family.

  4. After hearing and seeing this, I wish someone would come out their face and say in this country we have a problem victim blaming because this takes the cake. Tampering with evidence, SA, murder, defamation, false statements, accessory before and after the fact, witness intimidation, harboring a fugitive, police corruption, the list is long.

  5. A person so young, experiencing that amount of pain and torment. It shouldn't happen. Pain is a moment that lasts forever. It makes minutes feel like an eternity. That is how she left us. Just taken by someone for no reason that we can comprehend.
Not being able to breathe, hyperventilating, it is because she feels already dead. No blessings we can offer to this strong mother can anull this. The loss of a friend, daughter, and all her future selves… The moments that lasted too long.
"The things that happen in this world…..
It's a wonder God allows it."
Stephen King – The Green Mile

  6. I understand that you're at the will to the YouTube guidelines, and I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I really feel that censoring yourself from saying the words "rape," "sexual assault'," etc. only diminishes it more. I understand that it's part of your ability as a YouTuber to make revenue through ads, but as a survivor it feels dehumanizing. They are harsh words but it's important to emphasize them because of the power they hold. My partner and I had a discussion about this, where they said maybe some people aren't as able or ready to hear those words and I recognize that. However, there is power in saying them because of the damage they cause. I think because of that power and your high status as a YouTube creator and more that, though it may impact some of your ad revenue, you can afford to to empower survivors and emphasis the impact those actions create. A content warning is always a great way to help that endeavor.

  7. This is a spiritual warfare we are fighting evil in us and it is up to us to be on the good side and not let evil overcome us. May YAHUAH be with this woman and heal her aching heart and bless her and her child and she will see heaven again 🤍✨☹️

  8. I would prefer if you followed the timeline of the story in order of events. Its hard to keep track of when things happen because you seem to talk about things out of order

  9. Word of advice to cops, lawyers and jury, if a man brought in on SA and murder charges breaks out and threatens the victims mother with a gun, I think it’s safe to assume he did it.

  10. YOU ARE SOME SICK FKS TO POST A VIDEO ABOUT THIS AND THE TITLE IS SICKENING AND DISGUSTING. WHAT IS THE FKING PURPOSE OF THIS? TO DRIVE PEOPLE DEEPER INTO DEPRESSION? THERE NEEDS TO BE A LIMIT HERE

  11. Hi Stephanie! I've messaged a couple of times before in past asking if you could cover the Sef Gonzalez case in Australia. If you are into reading, I highly recommend reading Unmasked: The Gonzalez family killer. It's like the Jennifer Pan story except so much richer in context. The book has so much more detail than anything available online. I haven't seen any other people covering this story but you'd def be the best person to cover it cos I can totally see you laughing at how much of a loser this guy is. He even sang One Sweet Day at his family's funeral. He was terrible fyi 😂
