I have never heard of a dark skin African American actress go on social media and rant about the biracial women taking up all the roles in Hollywood when we know for a fact this has been happening for years. Those dark skin black actresses shut their mouth and continued to work on their craft, and that’s why you still see them in the industry today: Viola Davis, Angela Basset, Regina King, Kimberly Elise, Gabby Union, etc.
I don’t think any dark skin African American actresses and definitely not any dark skin everyday black woman has been coming after her about her “light skin”. Oprah is even the one that put her on Beloved and made her famous here in America and Oprah has been through a lot when she first started as a news anchor being a dark skin black woman.
If anything she should have aimed her skit toward producers and directors, they are the ones who pick the cast.
The black community has known for a long time that biracial women have been put in roles as black women for years, this is nothing new to us. That’s why so many black people both men and women are a starting to produce and direct their own stuff and not wait for Hollywood to accept them.
