  2. he is so right , thandie should NEVER apologize for the light color that god gave her . she had no control over this . black women are being irrational to say the least !!

  3. I dont agree with your assessment that now that shes successful that she can implement changes with her name. She could have done that 10 yrs ago during her prime.

  4. Lately l seen a lots of Black Men dating jet black women. More than anytime in the USA l mean since Slavery end. Or is it white men looking at dark skin women like the Beautiful and black men like maybe Mister on to something let me drop my 1000 pounds white woman.

  5. Am dark skin with mix sons. Age 25 and 27. It's so sad put guilt on a child l feel her mother who dark skin may had let's her know why she got the roles. In facts l feel it's because she beautiful to me she look dark skin and not White. But it is what it is. People always said how beautiful l look. Even at 58 am not that bad looking. Had my fist son at 30. I love be in the sun make my skin darker live in Florida.

  6. Even though she is married she probably still catches the eye of a lot of Brothas in her strokes thru the park. Men don't seem to honor the ring they still will ask her out. And another thing on the flip side I was dating a African American male that said disclosed to me that he really preferred black Brazilian women or Dominican women over an African American woman which describes me , I was his last consideration as long as I'm nurturing an supportive an diaper him like his mama as a sista! Ha But the other races he chose Just in case don't have to act right just be who they are .I was like really you don't yourself if you don't truly want to date a black woman .Get the hell out of here, miss me with that mess .Are own men are the blame for why Thandi on a ego trip that she's light almighty .

  7. On an individual scale I can see it happening, perhaps a few darker skinned black women came for her based on her skin tone! It does happen (speaking from personal experience)! On a large scale she’s DELUSIONAL! It’s as if she’s Halle Berry or something… She’s NOT that relevant of an actress and never has been, so her claims just comes across as boasting! No one is checking for her, She’s just a washed up 50 yr old bi radical girl looking for attention and she’s getting exactly what she wants, girl bye!

  8. What's the best way to gain attention? say anything about Black Women, negative or positive, it'll get conversation going, I think that since no one was checking for Thandie, she needed to have a reason to trend, & so she did this stupid… divisive… apology.

  9. Oh look…it’s Zoe Santana, or is it Saldana, most BW don’t even know who this chick is. She’s irrelevant. What movie was she in again? Boorrring

  10. Hollyweird wrote her another bad script… lol this crap about her taking roles & men fr drk skinned women got to be something they making up. Isn't she a D List actor? & I've only seen her in that old 2pac movie. So if she, so called took roles from dark skin women it couldn't have been too many. She's not even a household name. & Did I miss something, did any dark skinned actresses ask her for an apology? Wow these ppl are cray cray & its obvious she's trying to make herself seem pumped up as if.. oh yeah I took roles & men lol from the dark skinned women but meanwhile her career is mediocre/flopped & her hubby white yup this 💩 is something they made up to crap on dark skinned women once again & remind the world how "undesirable" we supposedly are 😂 Im starting to believe they're the ones jealous of dark skinned women bcuz they always talking about us.

  11. I have never heard of a dark skin African American actress go on social media and rant about the biracial women taking up all the roles in Hollywood when we know for a fact this has been happening for years. Those dark skin black actresses shut their mouth and continued to work on their craft, and that’s why you still see them in the industry today: Viola Davis, Angela Basset, Regina King, Kimberly Elise, Gabby Union, etc.

  12. I don’t think any dark skin African American actresses and definitely not any dark skin everyday black woman has been coming after her about her “light skin”. Oprah is even the one that put her on Beloved and made her famous here in America and Oprah has been through a lot when she first started as a news anchor being a dark skin black woman.
If anything she should have aimed her skit toward producers and directors, they are the ones who pick the cast.
The black community has known for a long time that biracial women have been put in roles as black women for years, this is nothing new to us. That’s why so many black people both men and women are a starting to produce and direct their own stuff and not wait for Hollywood to accept them.
Also she should never apologize for her skin color, God gave it to her and He doesn’t make mistakes.

  13. She has nothing to apologize for, go after the people doing the casting, etc. I try honk that her deep issues are coming out, people aren’t acknowledging the fact that she is a survivor of X assault, she was groomed.

  14. I'm a dark skinned woman and it was my dad that always told me how beautiful I am. I've never felt insecure about someone else's skin tone. Embrace and love who you are! 💕💕

  15. This woman is looking for attention. Nobody is jealous of this woman, even back in the day. When this woman started acting, there were plenty of beautiful women of all shades. Nia Long. Jada Pickette, Halle Berry, Aaliyah, Beyonce, Eve, and etc. And these women aren't complaining. This woman hasn't been since the late 90s and early 00s and she comes out of left field. Complaining that someone is jealous of her. She's getting older and dying for attention.

  16. Is all in her head that she got opportunities as a result of her skin tone. They lie to themselves ALL the time. Lupita is more relevant than she is. Lupita is dark and African. Viola Davis is dark. They are both still is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood. This delusional, emotionally, narcissistic heffas are grown children

  17. She wasn't apologizing. Her comments were condescending. Basically, she "apologized" for being the one who was "chosen". She apologized for "getting all the men." She apologized and apologized. It sounded as if she was looking down on dark skinned women. More disturbing, she came off as if she felt she was better than women who are darker than herself. Should white women now apologize to her for leaving the white men they don't want. Should they apologize and apologize 🤔 She is pathetic. There is no way that she would be caught dead with a dark skinned man. And she's probably shocked that her dark skinned mother landed such a prize; A WHITE MAN!

  18. I wonder what prompted this outburst…. Im sure no darker skinned black woman called her out at the grocery store saying " Hey you , lighty" "Give us back our men and our roles " She's not even "That Girl" in Hollywood…. Sis, you is stressed for nothing….you good…..lol

  19. That's the first thing I thought. Wasn't she technically ran through more by these sick hollywood directors than any of her dark skinned counterparts? 🤔 So who really lost?

  20. It sounds more like shes just repeating back to them guilt over the things they accuse lighter women of just inherently being to them. If Thandie mostly dates white men already, so who is she competing with? darker skinned bw who want white men? Black twitter in general has issue with anyone they see that looks a way that they think resembles their success, and will get mad about it, because they're not successful and thats how they vent. Every issue she listeded in their existence or what is socially relevant to them will always be what they fill fill oppressed by her existence in. Thats the identity they created for themselves.

  21. “It’s been very painful to have women who look like my mom feel like I’m not representing them,” she admitted during a promotional interview for God’s Country that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. “That I’m taking from them, taking their men, taking their work, taking their truth

  22. I've noticed this trend among actors and singers of color (Black?), when they are about to release a movie or album, they tend to say something very controversial, colorist, and derogatory towards Black women. It's as if the backs of Black women are used to promote their projects. As if they are attempting to separate themselves from a Black female demographic. SO they attack us.

  23. Colorism has been going on since slavery in America. Lighter skinned women were often treated better because of their lighter shade skin tone. Some even tried to pass for white. Many black women are talented from dark skinned to light. It's all programming
