  1. i have to say the browser company said it best its currently a race for that prize and its going to need to do a lot more then it currently can like access your data apps etc and actually browse for you

  2. Guys, i have so much respect for all of you, especially Marques but please never forget that the US is what 200mil people? and the rest of the world is 8 billion? the global market share has iphone at 29.32% so please keep that in mind in the matter to who wants to work with the other most. I am not a fan boy, if you consider only the US market then YES google is going to pay to have gemini on iphones.. but worldwide? and i don;'t think a company makes strategies based on a country only…

  3. Did you know that AI is rectangle?

It takes on the shape of a door, if a programmer has to evade responsibility.

Or, if the programmer is caught, the shape of an Get-Out-Of-Jail Card.

The potential for AI being used to gaslight people is – as huge as the whole universe!
AI is nothing to worry about. It’s the inability of humans to stick to logic based rule sets
and therefore the inability to make flawless programs, everybody should be frightened of.

The sad thing is, that no one will understand it until it is too late. 😢

  4. Gemini (Bard) has significant potential, but unfortunately, they are deliberately making it worse with each upcoming update, akin to throttling a powerful CPU for unspecified reasons.

  5. Apple is lagging behind the industry and only maintains its position through user lock-in, anticompetitive practices, and financial manipulation. That works for a bit but eventually a lack of innovation starts to show

  6. No, it doesn’t seem like if Apple wanted to rebuild Siri it would have done it by now. This revolution in LLMs happened long after Siri and yes Apple ignored Siri for a long time – but will integrate LLMs and probably call the result Siri still. Amazon still hasn’t done anything with Alexa. Google is flailing around with Gemini and GA. Musk hasn’t effectively integrated Grok into X. Nobody has an LLM based voice assistant that really works yet. Apple has historically not been first but has tried to do it right and take advantage of the “it just works” perception in its walled garden.

There will be a huge battle for which AI assistant consumers will choose to handle their affairs. People won’t want more than one having access to all their sensitive data and acting as their agent. They will value being able to trust the provider. Apple has an advantage here. iPhone 16 will likely offer a local hardware based assistant that doesn’t need to interact with the cloud and hence offers better security. 2:10
