The 'Umqombothi' hitmaker expressed concern over the widespread and devastating impact of illegal mining on the youth, remarking that the menace “is a burden everywhere, even in South Africa” and called on the Ghanaian government to tackle it effectively to restore the country's lost forest cover and rehabilitate destroyed lands.

“We will have a Global Citizen meeting in Ivory Coast next week, and President Akufo-Addo will be there, and I will convey the message to him because we cannot afford to see young people suffering.
