  1. It's not cultural appropriation when people are getting fired and expelled from school for wearing natural hair styles. Or being denied a job because their hair isn't straight.

That doesn't happen to the WW

  2. Have you seen the natural black hair when they are in the pool? When their hair is wet, it looks like they have millions of diamonds in their hair. It is so beautiful! And no, I am not African.

  3. When you don’t know your history, you ask these questions! Also, think about this: wig extensions/pieces are added to your natural hair when you wear braids. Come on, people, look at what is happening in the world; this is the most critical question you can ask. Your question should be, if DJT is elected, can he serve as president, being a felon? Because if he is elected and can serve the hair, or style on your hair is going to be the least of your worries.

  4. Becuz Melanated Peoples began life itself here, we began all styles including ways in which to style one's hair. Which fundamentally means all hair styles began with us so we aint the ones culturally appropriating. All races in part got their styles from us originally. Great show!

  5. Straight hair is not a culture.🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️ Its a genetic trait. And do that fool not realize Black ppl have straight hair, too!?🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️ East Africans, Australian Aborigines, Black Indians, etc have straight, wavy hair.

  6. Straight hair is genetics, not cultural. By far one of the stu*** questions I've ever heard. You cannot gatekeep something you didn't create. No one is born with braided hair, braids were created and are cultural. Not just in black/African culture. Many cultures have cultural hairstyles with braids. The guy asking the question made himself look really silly asking that question 🙄

  7. The proper term is cultural MISappropriation and there's nothing someone of the less dominant culture can do that will confuse people enough to lead to the MISappropriation or their ability to lay claim to said thing. Also straight hair is NOT a unique racial or culture element for white people.

  8. I wonder what Aunt Joy-Ann Reid of MSNBC would think of this post with her platinum weave and lead paint make-up…? I wish my Sisters would stop doing this—-they're sending a message of Self-hate and look plain Crazy. I have nothing against Sisters weaving braids or wearing Black wigs—–it's their head and life. But just refrain from Blonde or Auburn—–stop "worshipping" and "empowering" Whiteness with these misguided beauty practices !

  9. 🕊. Hi, During the time of slavery black women house slaves learnt how to press (silk press) the hair of ww. The ww in turn demanded that be press their own hair. The practice continues to today. The straightening of a black persons hair became the standard of acceptability for good grooming and beauty after slavery. In the 1970s the Afro was an effort to change that concept. It didn’t last very long as chemical straightening was introduced. This concept of long straight hair wigs /weaves is clap back for the renewed effort to make natural hair the epitome of black woman’s beauty.

  10. Everybody should understand that the young man is talking about texture. Black women are the only women I know who go around wearing another group of people's texture hair. Then some do not feel like they are appropriate to go outside unless they have another group of people's texture hair on their head.

  11. I've been HEBREW for 64 years and four months; and my hair, my mother, grandmother and my daughter all have naturally straight cold black hair.
As a matter of FACT blonde hair is common to BLACK PEOPLE TOO.
We are the beginning of EVERYTHING ‼️
Stop the stupidity and do some research betore displaying unnecessary ignorance. 🙄😡
