  1. Something that always pisses me off is the excuse people give for Shelton Benjamin never being a world champion. People would always say “He’s not good on the mic” or “He doesn’t have charisma”. Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy is a multi-time world champion. Jeff was definitely not the best on the mic, and despite them trying to force the narrative of him being the “charismatic enigma”, he has the charisma of paint drying. And I love Jeff, but it is what it is.

  2. Great video, one I didn't notice you mention but springs to mind is 2 Cold Scorpio. Some of the most athletic moves in the business, especially his 450° splash. WCW and ECW pretty much just let him do his thing, but the WWF made him into Flash Funk. Then they finally let him go back to being Scorpio but he didn't get any sort of push.

  3. I still haven't gotten over how Triple H buried Booker T in 2003 and Cena basically buried R-Truth (Passive Aggressively) in 2011. I still think R-Truth's Secession Vignette is candidate for the greatest segment of The 2010's.

  4. As for The Rock if you dig back in wrestling dirt sheets

Rock denied being black to fit into the locker room and often heard saying rather racist things about about black people

Again see him denying being black

Even tho everyone knew who his dad was

His dad is an awful person btw

Again my sources are dirt sheets

  5. A lot of us are still pissed how they never had A Bobby Lashley VS Brock Lesnar main event. We all know why, but it's was a missed golden opportunity for two behemoths with an MMA background. Lashley would realistically whoop Lesnars ass, but it would have been one of the best to watch at a WM.

  6. It's like watching live Shakespearean theater where they do amazing athlete events stage but still amazing , and some of them are over 300 pounds ,6/8 bigger moving like average size man but it's great to watch

  7. I think now is a perfect time to get into All Elite Wrestling as they just crowned their first Black (male) World Champion in Swerve Strickland, who was in WWE for a few years. AEW's first Black World Champion overall was Nyla Rose, who is Black, Indigenous, and the first openly trans wrestler to win a title of that significance in a major company. Scorpio Sky was also the first AEW World Tag Team Champion period with his partner, although that was another biracial team, but the talent is a little more equal there. Swerve and another former WWE wrestler, Keith Lee, were the first all-Black team to win the Tag Titles, and they dropped them to another Black team, The Acclaimed, who also have an openly gay Black wrestler.

It's nice to see this occur in some way outside of WWE, and it be just as legitimate, and I hope they get their flowers as well

  8. Even though in Japan (except a short WWF run in 95) & biracial, Aja Kong was in the top echelon during the peak of women’s wrestling in Japan in the early-mid 90s.

  9. Idk, I always thought of the rock as black or a mixed dude. He kind of reminds me of my uncle. But the trash talking, the crazy looks, the swagger, THAT WAS A VERY BLACK SWAGGER. And in gridiron gang, the rock did play a black man with a black mother. He's portrayed both black and Samoan characters and personas.
Also would have liked a section on black female wrestlers too

  10. excellent … thank you this… shared with my little brother, who i watched all these wrestlers with.. But how you gonna leave out Coco beware…in pipers pit.. .lol

  11. Interesting story about Booker T/Triple H feud. I forgot where but I think on a podcast, Booker T revealed that during that time, he asked Vince why he couldn't be the WWE champion, and Vince replied "The fans aren't ready for a black champion yet". What makes me believe Booker is that a couple years later, he finally did get to be a champion, but not the WWE championship. They gave him the World Heavyweight champion belt instead. I won't deny what Vince's impact on the WWE brand as a whole, but it's subtle stuff like this that shows who he really is.

  12. Been watching wrestling storylines with my girlfriend and showed her the kofimania build. She loved it and when he told her, "In six months kofi drops the title, you wanna guess to who?" And she joked "Brock Lesnar" and she went from disbelief from guessing it to exasperation when I revelaed it was a squash. Just started watching this video and i already am enjoying it.

  13. I'm sticking around for Jade, Naomi and Belair.
But I noticed they went with a "Black ppl vs Asian people" thing with Asuka, Iyo, Kairi and Naomi, Jade, Belair. They threw in Bayley and Dakota Kai, as diversion Lmao.
It's a weak concept since they did White vs Black before….Latino Vs Black….like why we always the one having to be versed.
    Just keep that in mind….
