  1. In this documentary, we see just how the Kenyans do it as they transport some of the most perishable local products with speed, determination, and high risk on the continent's most dangerous roads – these are what’s known as the flying trucks!

  2. I had the pleasure of visting Kenya (primarily Nairobi and surrounding areas) for a few weeks for a volunteer medical trip to help impoverished peoples. Everyone I spoke to there was warm and kind and made you feel welcome. But I can also confirm riding in a bus with our hired driver was a nightmare. 1,000 times a day you'd have what I would consider a "close call" when driving, so you quickly become desensitized to it, but it is still overwhelming. 😀

  3. Many of these trucks drive over night, often without lights because they believe that headlights drain their batteries, it's hair raising for other road users. There aren't so many matatu's on the road these days, motorbikes and tuk-tuk's have taken over as fast and cheap taxi services.
