My wife has degrees in biology, chemistry, laboratory science, and a masters in education.
She sets started the masters after we had children so she could have the a and schedule as the kids.
Later on, when we moved to a lower cost state, she started experiencing the complications of the many autoimmune conditions she has. She could no longer work full time.
Where we moved to, we lived better on a single income than we ever could in two incomes before we moved.
Our kids loved it. Even when she teaching, though she was home with them at the same time, she was exhausted. Now, she was there for them to help with homework if they needed it.
The kids are grown and both married last year.
My wife has a higher bowling average than me now because she bowls a couple senior leagues each week. 😅😅😅😅😅
And she looks tired.

Society has convinced women that staying home with their kids and husband is a burden or oppressive meanwhile corporate America has taken advantage of a woman’s nurturing nature and used it to make them the mule of the company to bring in money while complaining they’re still oppressed in the workforce 🙄 the stress on many women often from the workplace is also causing fertility problems and men are seeking a traditional woman and can’t find any so now they’re going for foreign women or women who still live by their people tradition even if they’re somewhat westernized. I mean we all live and learn so I won’t call her stupid it I assure you nothing beats being close to your kids and being home to see your husband come home from work

I am all for being a stay at home housewife and mom but also supporting her to do something very part time like a couple days a week. There are .any nursing jobs so she could work a couple days every other week.

The main REASON a women would want to go back to work if she had the support of a husband who wanted her to stay home is because she did not want to bond with and raise the child. I think women are expected to want to bond with their baby's but not all women do. Those early years are imperative for BONDING, why would you want a stranger to do that with your child, if you have the option to be there. Sometimes baby's and rings are more of a status symbol than a whole hearted commitment to parenthood. Being a stay at home mum is the hardest job, and the best case scenario is to understand this before you put work before a helpless BABY that only wants the person who womb it has resided in for 9 months close. Men must pick better, why did the dad not dissect this dimension of her character before the sperm ever met any eggs. But on the other hand women pretend to believe in all kinds of things for a ring and a man. So sad.

Life is trial and error! She may have very much intended to be that stay-at-home wife, but sometimes you don't know what you want until you find out what it is you don't want. Being at home doesn't work for everyone nor does those working from home jobs. Some people love their family but need to get a way, move around (work) and come back refreshed at 100%. It's better she makes moves now than be in a miserable marriage for 20 years. He said now she has to do it all home and work so it didn't make sense, but she could be exactly what her husband wanted her to be, and she still end up having to do it all. You have to know your worth and what stamp you want to leave in this world and because it's not the same as the next persons does NOT make her crazy.

It's never a good idea to be financially dependent on another person. It leaves you powerless, and they can easily take everything away from you.
