I don't like Jane. She is a weak, pathetic person who didn't even bother to call an ambulance for her lover because she was afraid not for him but for herself. She is unworthy of her husband's love and forgiveness, but she is very pretty.

Antigamente, a maioria dos filmes, boa parte das gravações eram feitas no mesmo cenário. Como exemplo temos esse filme, que acontece praticamente na sala da casa,e que nos deixa preso durante todo o enredo , nos permitindo sempre a reflexão dos mesmos.
Jane expected Dennis to abandon his daughters and "hold no moral obligation" towards them beyond paying their bills (~6:58). That statement alone makes her reprehensible. Although, he doesn't escape the "shity moniker" either. But she's a MESS…they're both a MESS.

How could anyone ever be in love with Franchot Tone? Every movie I've ever seen him in he plays a weakling.
