  1. One other thing when taking about the system is that we have Z83 form which is literally a CV and yet you must fill it and attach your CV.

With others you must certify your copies yet they expire after 3 months of which doesnt make sense unless the original certificates have been renewed other than that what changed from the day they were stamped? Does it mean after 3 months your certificates could have been renewed meaning u renew them 4 times a year? 😂😂

  2. When Mcebo said that, the students who had no food nor a place to stay could not perform well because of those issues; he reminded me of my own situation. A 3 year degree took me 7 years because of the challenges he has already highlighted. My main struggle was food. During my 7th year I was staying at my friend's home, where I experienced being called and told that the breakfast is ready. From that day as I was walking to the University I said to myself I see no reason not to pass this, and I did pass the same year. Remember, I was not staying at home this time nor at the campus, I was staying at my friend's home. I was very shy to go to my friend's mum to get the daily taxi fare. I would sometimes hide from her and walk to the university. One day when I thought I had escaped being given a taxi fare, as I was walking along the main road, a taxi stopped and the driver called me, when I got there I saw my friend's mum, she gave me the taxi fare that I left behind. I was so embarrassed and motivated at the same time. I again said to myself; at home I was mostly not given a taxi fare but where I am I run away from getting the taxi fare but it gets given to me anyway. I see no reason for failing this year. I would say to myself, I have found sanctuary at last.

Keep up the good work!!! Makwande

  3. This guy is the epitome of struggles at tertiary. If ANC were serious about the youth or really wanted to serve the masses they should have built thier Youth League around Mcebo. They would have been successful.

  4. 😢😢I'm pained by the reversal part. I did my first qualification in 2018 and everything was easy, in 2020 things were no longer easy for black students, today my sister bursary which is public works is refusing to approve and release funds for her textbooks 😢 it's really painful to see

  5. Another thing I would've added is that young people these days do not believe in Jesus and that's why they don't feel the need to fight for the country. Christians are usually very patriotic. In America most of the soldiers are Christian. We don't have a Christian identity anymore. This is the number one reason this country is going to h3ll and no one wants to talk about this.

  6. Mr Dlamini you are well informed and educated, i like how you see S.A and your truth. If you can become a president of S.A we can enjoy the freedom as black people.

  7. I really empathise with this, particularly the kids that commit suicide, and hear the argument and that the government can do more and believe they could. However, the trouble is that the universities can only do so much and life costs.

My father couldn’t afford to go to university and didn’t get a bursary, so he had to work and study through UNISA. He couldn’t get a handout.

I was then lucky enough to attend university, but I couldn’t afford to stay there, I had to pay for and rely on lifts. I was fortunate enough to stay home and not have to have a consistent part time job, but many students do work to pay their way.

Thus, I’d like to know, how much of this is driven by an entitlement mentality and how much by students not being able to go work and study through UNISA or go work to assist their income?

  8. You still haven't paid Maine!😂😂😂 Yes It is 50k 😂😂😂 ,you called him a donkey🫏. I use newspaper🗞️ article of that case in one of my assignment in final year😂😂😂🎉

  9. Mcebo🎉❤ is spot on about patriotism my late father used to talk about it & I just didn't get it until I worked with Americans at a mission school, listen👂🏾those people when it comes to their flag (their country) you cannot touch their nation, you cannot fault it nje 🔥🔥,it's amazing! South Africa has a loooong way to go. Because I would even hear some of my own colleagues speak ill about our own country in the midst of Americans..like what😮?!!! So we indeed need to seek & maintain what speaks to us,we also need to genuinely unite! Also concur with an eye 👀 4 an eye 👀 principle!

  10. I can relate, I was a black girl from Lesotho attended varsity in Bloemfontein, I always had to fight and defend my high marks becouse it was never possible to attain them according to my white lectures

  11. Mcebo is a real revolutionist he fought for a black child and am one of those who benefited from the fees must fall movement we appreciate you leadership ✊. King David its time to bring the ATM president mr Vuyolwethu Zungula we would appreciate it👏

  12. The guy is born brilliant ANC wanted to finish him off trying all apartheid strategies clearly they failed.. but my disappointment is remain ANC saying he doesn't see alternative but he speaks EFF language, the problem we have as Africans we don't want to be led, those who got power they misused it.. but brother thank you with this interview both of you

  13. I was a student at Wits during fees must fall and experienced some of these injustices. Mcebo and SRC comrades really fought. Almost 10 years later, I went back to school. Able to pay my own fees but I can definitely see some of the changes they fought for. Situation is not too dire but can still certainly change for the better

  14. This is the youth of this country speaking. The system now is being used in excuse of Covid-19 because nowadays many kids after matric cannot access tertiary education. We need to fight this system and get rid of it.
