What annoys me about this: Why not just take a Nigerian actor who actually sounds like a Nigerian? Why take somebody who can never even get close to mastering a Nigerian accent?
Gugu played Plumette in the live action Beauty and the Beast.
Will did a good job with the accent & is good at accents. He talks with an accent in his newest movie "Emancipation." His character is from Haiti. I thought his accent sounded French. He still looks the same now as he did back then. He doesn't look 54 yrs old at all. We all know Will is American.
We don't sound like that u are way off
This no say sounds Nigerian like no no , more Ghanaian maybe but no Nigerian sounds like this concussion or not
Bro said he underwent transformations to look like a Nigerian. Brooooo we look just like other black people. We don’t have a “look”
Am a Nigerian igbo
What movie did he do

I am a Nigerian, love my accent and have no intension of losing my accent ever.
He sounded more South African to me lol
Dude sounds Kenyan haha what a joke
Will Smith is Nigerian? I thought he's native African American
I love this movie. I just got around to watching it, but it made sense why Trey didn't pursue a track to professional football.
Too bad he slapped Chris rock
He does not sound Nigerian at all
Oscar slap with Chris Rock.
So sadly, I only heard and saw this movie today. Read up more about it and so on as things go. I am South African and love Will Smith, a brilliant actor along with all the others in this film.
However, what really angers me is whenever there needs to be a character of an African nationality, it is always portrayed by an American or British or by someone from anywhere else in the world but Africa.
WHY??
We do have very very good, great and brilliant talent in Africa.

Her name Gugu means 'Google' in Nigerian
Fore real? I thaught south African 😱
Bro that’s not even close 😭I’m sorry but will smith great actor
That was a feat from Will. He sounds good speaking in that accent. I'm proud my Nigeria has an accent people take note of.
I don't even think there is a 'Nigerian' accent. The Igbo accent is different from the Yoruba and that from the Hausa and that from Ibibio and so forth.
That's not a Nigerian accent, I'm Nigeria
Please dear we don't speak like that.who goes there!😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
We don't have any accent abeg😂😂…..we just talk normally😂
This can never be Nigerian .He is sounding South African and Maybe a little Ghanaian Accent to cap. Nigerians speak even better than most American and English people combined.

That's why he is an actor… He acts……. He does not need to be Nigerian…. At least he is not rowdy like yals do… Yals are too loud…. We literally watch nollywood movies at mute and it will still be sounding like max100 volume🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why not just cast a Nigerian actor
He tried a little I love him so much
Sounds like Ugandan accent to me
Why he sound Jamaican
Sounds like Joseph kony
This is definitely not the Nigerian accent
Mr foolish Smith u must be out of your mind.
Stupid man
I can't tell a Nigerian accent from any other distinguishable African country accent; but, all have this one thing in common – I have delve into a depth of learning patience with understanding.
Huh? What? Somebody please translate for me! It's English, don't you understand English!
Hey, I'm from the east coast of the USA, and it's hard as hell practicing a Bronx accent.
