Why Nigerians Are Protesting | JBS Ep. 09
Nigerians, both old and young have taken to the streets for a 10-day protest tagged #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.
The protest which started in the early hours of August 1st, 2024, is set to last until August 10th.
This is unlike anything the Nigerian government has seen.
The ruling party have unleashed unprecedented violence on the protesters…

UPDATE: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address Nigerians on DAY 4 of the protests.
Gosh. God bless you for this content. Will have to contact you soon.
Politicans are just a reflection of the people…The revolution needs to start from the bottom -up
I feel sorry ,but thn i think they vote for what they got..so enjoy.
Can you also cover the dangote refinery situation ?
Jude ending the video with, "Hopefully…" sent shivers down my spine…
😢
How did we get here???
While people may cry out to government for poor decision on fuel and dollar to naira rate, unnecessary expenditure of scarce resource which has caused much hunger and thus sparked the nationwide protest. Plus the sheer nonchalance/arrogance of persons in government to address the issues correctly, It is important to proffer solutions which would take integrity and boldness on the part of government to bring to fruition.
Thankfully the local government have autonomy now to directly use their funds for development. Can they have a direct meeting with presidency and be charged to face mechanised agriculture squarely as a matter of urgency and priority, in collaboration with the federal ministry of agriculture which will solely provide tractors at least 5 to every LGA. Whereas the local government provide fertilizers, seedlings, trainings, oversight and post farm processing machines. Let state government concentrate on good roads, education and health
These processing machines we can get from ministry of science and technology outlets( the ministry can order prototypes from China or Israel and learn to design ours) Garri milles, rice mills, ginger mills, palm oil and groundnut oil mills, cassava, millet n cornflour mills. State ministry of commerce can collaborate with ministry of works for states to build designated food industry processing mills for every LGA.
It should not take so much if folks are serious.
Again thanks to the internet and global clamour against GMOs our African foods have become great exports as they are wholly organic. Egusi, yam and Garri are a favourite world wide now. Our people in diaspora have helped to announce and make these foods acceptable. So aside feeding us, we can strive to meet the hunger needs of the world.
Tinubu and Oshomole are reaping the harvest of their many protests
Thanks!

This could be worth considering if you will one day do an expository investigation on the textile industries though not functioning at the moment.
Slave labour happened within the four walls of most of the textile companies owed by Chinese, indians and some elites of Nigeria may with or without the knowledge of the then government.
For example, imaging be compel not to take a break during shift hours in exchange for a morsel of bread inside a comfined environment with flying particles of cotton dust. This and many more were the inhumane treatment Nigerian citizens' textile workers suffered. I grew up in Kaduna South were most of the textile company are located and workers live. I worked a few months in the mill as it is popularly called but left for my higher education. The memory of slave labour back in those Mills lived on in my mind, I can never forget. If this is what you want to look into, I can share my email address privately for more narrative.
Thank you.
Truth Truth Truth you are using your sweet voice to hide the Truth

This is the most narcissistic set of government in the history of nigeria 🇳🇬 they got the best out of nigeria in their time but have made the worst out of a beautiful country. One day will come when a million police men can't stop the revolution that will come.
