The reason Ghanaian music is not moving as fast is because Ghanaians are very laid back in everything they do. Nigerians are more business inclined and that helps a great deal
😂😂😂 she said there's a little bit of Ghanaian Afrobeats in Amapiano.. They are trying to include themselves in the success of Amapiano just as they have been trying to do to Nigeria Afrobeats 😂😂😂
Because of shatter wale speak negative about the Ghanaian musician that they are pushing to the world ❤❤❤❤❤
Ebor Taylor was interviewed, and he said he did not influence Afrobeat or fella. He said Fela did everything on his own and told him about it. But Ghanaians keep lying about creating Afrobeats. Afrobeats is not highlife. They are both different from each other.
Is in the DNA. Nigerians are fighters, and they fight for every dream.
This afrobeat misconception going around ghana saying felakuti learned afrobeats from Ghana is wrong. fela is afrobeat Nigeria is afrobeats. It's different . afrobeats is a Nigerian sound we carved it out
Amapiano is culture not just a beat if u khow the language u wil understand the msg from Amapiano.
Ghanaian pidgin language is awful 😖
You people go explain tired😂😂😂😂😂
When you try to take the credit away from someone is disrespectful. It has become a habit of hate for most gh bloggers to always attribute the nigerian success story to Ghana. Everything nigerian embarked on must be copied from Ghana. Please check the interview of Pa Ebo Taylor with Dj pakorich and check nigerian music documentary on entertainment. We are not competing that's why we don't fail.
Its Nigeria and America we are not to be compared with any Africa country musically
The biggest mistake Ghana make is over-pushing the wrong artists. I heard Bisa Kdei in London years ago. They should have pushed his sound, thats the music that will last many years. Don’t over-push artists that make copies of western music e.g- Ghana drill. We will forget about Ghana drill faster than authentic Ghanaian music. Authenticity is the best Amapiano is uniquely original thats why it gains traction.
If after implementing your 80-20 policy against Nigerian 🇳🇬 music industry yet Ghana 🇬🇭 music industry is still going at snail 🐌 speed, then your industry is doomed forever. We Nigerians 🇳🇬 took a bet with you that your music will suffer like your film industry should Nigerians exit your scene, I believe you guys are there now.
Afrobeat is naija and naija is afrobeat. Do not bring ghana close to it, fela traveled to UK, america, etc but those country dont claim they own afrobeat because of felas visit. Self entitlement is in this ghanian DNA, there is nothing one can do about it. Please try to promote your highlife and your banku music and stop chasing shadows.
Americans have the biggest music industry in the world,if Ghana want to learn ,learn from the American music industry.
Banku villagers
As a Nigerian looking in, I think the biggest issue ghana music is facing are investors who bliv in the talent as opposed to initial profit. The second issue is that the country doesnt produce enough artists that can take the ghana sound into the next generation or even evolve that sound…same issue dancehall is facing. Ghana need to keep churning out artists whether good or bad that can keep evolving that sound till it reaches perfection. A perfect example here was when wizkid came into the scene in our industry, everyone was doing similar things until wande coal broke that mould & wizkid ran through that door, perfected that sound and took it to the next level..This is called evolution, consistency. After wizkid, we had Terry G era, we had yoruba rap era, Mr eazi era, we had naira marley, now we are in Asake era & on it goes. We are able to do this b/c we kept churning out artists, good, bad etc till we were able to get another evolution of the afrobeat sounds. This ensure the genre stays alive but also keeps evolving.
In summary: Ghana investors need to come in & put profit in the back burner. Also the country needs to keep producing lots of artists (good, bad & ugly) CONSISTENTLY. This ensures the ghana sound stays alive and leaves room for continuous evolution for the future generations. Once there is money invested & lots of artists to keep the genre or sound alive, you will have something similar to our industry or South Africa. Another closer industry is the congo music industry (I see similar issues here, not enough artists. I remember when there was awilo, koffi, felix wazeka, werrason etc at once. Now i see mostly Fally, Dadju & Innos. They should have LOTS flooding that rumba, ndombolo, kiwazenza sound and even evolving it). Any way, I have spoken too much.
It’s because of hate and jealousy y’all have toward Nigerian and the artists trust me Ghanaian artists will suffer more in years to come cuz we shall keep boycotting anything Ghana and Ghanaian 🇳🇬😃😆😶 Afronation a. Case study
Ghana has nothing to do with afrobeat so u guys in Ghana should stop deceiving urself that fela was in Ghana does it mean that uk’ Egypt and co that fela visited and made music are all origine of afrobeat
Una go explain tire 😂😂😂😂
My fellow Nigerians. We should be happy they are talking about us . The worst thing is not to be talked about.
That whole "Ghana-Must-Go" thing happened in the 80s – let it go. Of which eh, Ghana ought be grateful to Nigeria, cause we inadvertently quickened your development.
Since then, una get 24/7 light. Since then, una Cedis don get value pass Naira. Since then, una win AFCON 4 times. Since then, una stop us from going to the World Cup. Since then, una don even get mind to pursue us from Ghana. Since then, una do "Year of the Return" and "Play Ghana" 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
STILL! una no dey ever get peace where 9ja dey. Dem sey, pikin wen refuse to let him/her mama sleep, him/her too WILL KNOW NO SLEEP.
So make una know this and know peace. 9ja no even dey reason una or the rest of world like una dey reason us in the navigation of our lives.
The obsession with all things 9ja at this point is comically entertaining for us to watch, cause una be real mumu as usual. We no go gree for anybody this year! 💪🏾🇳🇬🤳🏾
