  1. Ruger is so solid because they are the best investment casting business in the industry if not the world . They are a casting company first . They also have hired some of the best engineers in modern history to design guns for them. L.John Sullivan designed the mini-14 and m77 amongst others. Sullivan worked on designing the m-14 when in the army. He got a job at armalite and did most of the work of shrinking Eugene Stoner's ar-10 into the ar-15 and worked on the m-16 project when it was adopted by the Air Force and the Army demanded changes. He designed the ultimax 100 machine gun , surefire MGX and worked on many other notable projects. Ruger also uses cold hammer forged barrels making them extremely durable with very smooth and uniform rifling.

  2. Ruger Smith and Colt made the best wheel guns in the 20th and I’d argue 21st century. Only thing is I wish colt would bring back a police positive style revolver though they kinda did with the viper. That one is in 357 magnum though but that’s nice that it chambers a bigger round.
