  1. Portugal was never conquered by Spain. It was a matter of non masculine descendency when a Portuguese Princess was married to a Spanish prince. 3 generations later, Portugal regained its independence

  2. The only thing I took from this was that Spain actually conquered Portugal at one point and had the whole of the Iberian Peninsula. I literally never knew that at all. I thought Portugal and Spain were besties since their existence. 😯
