  1. DPP legislators resort to violence every time they’re the minority in the parliament. Violence happeded when DPP’s first president, Shui-bian Chen, was in power (2000-2008, less than 50% presidential votes and a minority in the parliament), when KMT’s Ma Ying-jiu was in power (2008-2016, majority both in presidential votes and parliament), or now when Lie Cheater come to power (from 2024, less than 50% presidential votes and a minority in the parliament).
Only when DPP had 50% presidential votes and a majority in Congress (Ing-wen Tsai ,2016-2024), they did not have to resort to violence, but with only more and more cases of corruption and local scams (local job traps that leads to the outbound sale of human organs) deliberately condoned by the courts.
P.S. Shui-Bian Chen was put to prison after he stepped down with the help of corruption evidence US provided (owning undeclared real estate in New York City with his wife taking bribes).

DPP is grasping at the last straw, but young people are no longer on their side like they were 8 years ago.

  2. That wasnt an uplifting story at all. Why the hell does firefighters performing a crucial service to a community get left with a budget of 170 dollars in the first place??? Missouri is a joke state

  3. I always assumed they were doing it to show China they are ready to fight. I doubt China is impressed. They would probably have to fight to the death in Parliament to convince China they are not bluffing.

  4. Legislators from the ruling party of the Taiwanese government took the lead in attacking opposition legislators and on-site staff, including police.

    excellent.

The main reason is that ruling party legislators are worried that Congress will pass laws to supervise the president and government officials are not allowed to lie when questioned. However, ruling party legislators are very afraid of being sentenced for corruption in the ruling party.

  5. the KMT and TPP has negotiated a new version amendment in morning 17 May 2024 , which cannot be found in Taiwan parliament website, nor printed to all parliamentarians and tried to forcefully vote anonymously (last time it happened was at 1989)

  6. The real reason for the visa uni change is to deport ukranians that registered to avoid the draft as ukraine has been bled dry of manpower and the west is desperate to fight Russia to the last ukranian

  7. I respect the fact that they are willing to literally fight for what they believe in while it may be childish it does show they genuinely care about what their campaigning for.

  8. I know you guys are british, but this is tldr global. You should really tone it down with some random governing change in the UK, even more so since the UK is kinda irrelevant on the world stage.

  9. After 8 years of being the central government, corrupted DPP only got 40% of votes in the 2024 election (got only 4 cities/counties out of 16 in 2022 election). DPP voters are mostly lowly educated, over 65 years old ,or live in the agricultural or heavy-industral southern part of Taiwan. The opposition parties are KMT and TPP. KMT voters are mostly over-50-year-of-age mid-to-high educated. TPP voters are mostly mid-to-high educated young people, and TPP got the most votes in Taiwan’s Silicon Valley city, Hsinchu. DPP gave away TSMC’s technology to other countires and declined to buy BNT vacs in order to undermine the lives of the capitol and the adjcent city which did not vote for DPP until under the pressure of TSMC, Foxconn and Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation. So judge for yourself. Google “wikileaks Taiwan” to know DPP’s politicians have been using anti-China and independence (which US dose not allow) as tools for election purposes (Taiwan’s Netanyahu?). The opposition parties are trying the pass a law to criminalize government officials making perjury before the present parliament — which have been often done by DPP for the past 8 years.

  10. Finally found a benefit of having the oldest government in the world. The elderly in U.S. congress are too busy having their nap times and lack the energy to physically fight each other.

  11. Politicians elsewhere: If elected, I will fight for you!

  12. The uplifting story of "that country is so disfunctional, they have to rely on private donations to run a life saving service and this time it worked"? 😉😁
