  1. I found that to be SUCH a MYTH; nowadays I find there are more AA's who definitely identify with their African heritage then those few little who don't.
    In addition,
many African Americans identify themselves as (*African American) rather than (Back American) or oddly just Americans.😢

  2. Many African-Americans or Black-Americans feel that they have no connection to Africa because of the different culture and the languages and how many of us were raised. For example, I wouldn't know what it's like to be African because I have never been to African nor do I speak the language. But it doesn't give me an excuse to deny my roots. My family comes from Louisiana and they speak French Creole.

  3. We have a long way to go. I am an indigenous African man and I must say that Africans across the continent have also been damaged by foreign religions, self hate became to reign supreme. What has been more worse and more shocking, is how damaged most Black Americans are and this can also be said about Dominican Republic peoples and to a certain extent Black South Africans and Somalis.

  4. The day Africa shakes off colonization and become independent, prosperous and powerful, all this so called identity crisis will evaporate over night. We live in an upside-down world where people will deny truth right in front of them and embrace lies that give them a false sense of comfort and belonging. I'm African from the Xhosa ethnic heritage and very proud of it. The nightmare of the last 300 years is finally disappearing. A new Era is emerging and is very bright and full of hope. We are moving forward and we will move with those who are willing to walk with us..Cheers 🍻 from South Africa

  5. Many African Americans DO HAVE A CONECTION WITH TURTLE ISLAND that said they SHOULD NOT USE IT TO DENY THEIR CONNECTION TO AFRICA BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE MOST OFTHEIR ANCESTORS CAME FROM IN MOST CASES!

  6. Ehh…maybe because we have no African roots, Duh! By all means if you wanna be African have at it bro, i don't know you so i can't tell you who you are or aren't.

  7. The one thing I don’t understand is African Americans that want to deny there African root will claim America Not Realizing the DNA Genetic makeup belongs to Africans like it or not Make you African
