I have made friends with people who are African, who are devotees from the 1980's and West Indians. They are very inspiring and passionate playing musical instruments and chanting as well as preaching with love and kindness.

Hinduism doesn't seek converts. For the same reason, it views anyone from different conviction, wearing Hindu saffron fancy dresses with deep suspicion, however bona-fide he might be – unfortunately though.
For it had seen down the centuries such invaders adopting the hindu fancy dresses, plagerising its scriptures to adjust theirs, yet later claiming it is hindus who had copied, at once undermining the original as ruse to slowly undress to adopt the invaders' actual skirts and uniforms, conviction and practices.
