“Not that hard” You ever flown an airplane? You think the small trainer planes we fly at start is also flown by technology? Don’t judge someone before walking a step in their shoe.
This video misrepresents the nature of the work. Automation is a tool to help and is only as good as the person programming it. No amount of technology can replace the skill, experience, and judgement of the human pilot.
I am an airline pilot and this is false, we are away at most 2 days, and if you have a reserve schedule, you can have up to a 100 day gaps and still get payed. My flight training including my FAA Medical, private pilots license and more only costed 65k which you will make back in your first year.
This video is so misleading. My uncle was an airline pilot for 35 years and never made the kind of money this kid is talking about. Not to mention the financial, the health and the personal relationships he has sacrificed for his career. When he finally quit being a pilot he was a happy man, although all those years away from home is time he will never get back.

Who do you think that tells "the computer" what to do? What do you think happens when there is something wrong with "the computer"? Those computers you've mentioned can not even do a simple fuel calculation when pilot needs to dump some, let alone doing anything when it is needed to take a critical decision in seconds that affects literally your life.
