  1. The reason I’m probably voting EFF is because the racists will leave and the only people that will stay are the ones committed to building a better South Africa. While I don’t think Julius is fit to be a president I don’t think any political leader is. And I’ll let Bonga raw dog me before I vote DA

  2. We have enjoyed having power without interruption….once the elections are over, we'll have load shedding again..
Being in the dark won't be fun – but knowing we have ousted the African National Corruption party – will make it really worth it…. So do the right thing please

  3. Hey guys – THE day has finally arrived and we are all excited to "do the right thing" it's been really good having power every day but once this erection is done – we can be very sure that "the wheels will come off suddenly" and we'll have load shedding again….

  4. I see there is a lot of people that don't want to vote for anyone. Note that if you don't vote you are voting for the goverment in power. Why ? If you are not voting you are saying you are happy with how things currently are under current goverment.

  5. I use HUMAN RIGHTS as a fundamental basis of my vote.. Ask yourself, would your Party take I$rael to the ICJ.??? Does your party condem the bombing of churches and killing of my Christian brothers and sisters in Gaza. ???. i can handle potholes, i can handle loadshedding.. but i CANNOT and will NOT support Gen0cide against women and children.. FULL STOP!!

  6. This will be the 1st year that OHM will be in parliament!!!
    Biggest push is for FREEDOM/LIBERTY.
    Funded by supporters ONLY
Let us elect our leaders directly and then, we will also UN-ELECT them when they do not do as promised. NO OTHER PARTY can give you that!

  7. Please, guys, I don't care about the other parties… just for the love of God, dont vote for ANC. I'm begging each and every one of you🙏🏼

  8. As an American who can't vote in South Africa, the lesson I've learned from elections in my country is that questions 4 and 5 that Dan mentions (4. who is funding the party you're voting for? 5. Who will they work with?) materially matter more than 1, 2, and 3, since the answers to the first 3 questions are generally informed by the answers to questions 4 and 5.

It's why, in the United States, policy that is lobbied for by corporate America has had a stronger chance of becoming law than policy that is favored by the public.

Edit: as I'm watching the video, I understand better why Dan orders the questions the way he does. In the US, the public isn't as concerned with corruption in the same way South Africans are. From my observations (I stand to be wrong here: working with an incomplete picture, but I'm learning), it seems like South Africans are more concerned with corruption manifesting as people in power operating outside of the law to achieve a desired end. While this is certainly a concern in the US as well, I think people in the States are generally more concerned with corruption in the form of people in power using money to litigate their agenda into law, regardless of whether that policy actually is just in the eyes of the people.

Either way, its shit. But I understand better why "Do I trust who I'm voting for?" is treated more like a separate question from "who is funding the party and who will they work for?"

  9. Thank you so much Dan, based on your awesome criteria I've conclusively decided, without a shred of doubt, that I have no choice but to vote for the EFF!! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽And as a close 2nd I support the MK party. On my "over my dead body" list the flag-burning DA and their friends Vff plus or something like that. Thanks for helping me make my decision!

  10. Honestly Dan. I think any white person not happy with the DA and FF Plus is just being dishonest. These parties do a fabulous job representing their constituency in a way that no black party truly represents black people which is the main constituency in South Africa.

If I was white, the choice for me would be no further than the DA and FF Plus but I am black so no chance.
