I heard an anecdote about Dr Sizwe in terms of how his spoken Xhosa is now at the level it is (#anticheeseboyvibes 🙂 ). This young man spent a whole year in the rurals of Qugqwala in Qonce in the Eastern Cape. I have as much respect for this integrated intentionality in how he lives as I have for the quality of the content this channel puts out. This is a giant on whose shoulders we already stand.

Julius this time around is not annoying the political elite but even the common man who supported him. The way he eviscerated Dr. Ndlozi will only show him as a bully and the organization's supreme leader, which will turn off all the democrats in the organization. EFF is dying!

What's happening in the EFF reflects a microcosim of what happens in our communities, within ourselves in corporate ladder climbing and other competency situations, one day someone smart will connect the dots for us and show us why this "intermediary" was to be expected

DA stays in GNU, waiting for the inevitable further slide of the ANC, and thereby obtaing greater influence and power…hopefully moving the country away from the evil axis of Russia, China, Iran, Cuba and all the other failed Marxist/socialist/communist states.

It is not South African politics that have changed. It is ordinary South Africans who are beginning to change how they react to politicians and politics. I think that politicians are not reading the room as well as they should. The DA and ANC will not split. They need each other. SA does not really have an opposition party..it has what are protest groups with parliamentary seats. SA has a one party DA-ANC. I don't know whether that is good or bad.

how come the courts were able to overturn a decision by parliament in the appointment of Dr John Hlophe to the JSC? why the reluctance over phalaphala? can the justice system withstand the inconsistencies? what is the future of a democracy without judicial integrity?

Great analysis Sizwe. I was actually thinking about the EFF phenomenon too. I think your characterization "Julius Malema's EFF" is spot on. Have you seen his IOL December article?
I seriously think Julius is misreading the political moment occasioned by the 2024 national elections. South Africa changed "once again" in 2024. Politicians that are operating at a national level need to rethink their politics of organizing.
I hope you have great year Sizwe, your team and your viewers. Thanks for the work man.
Oh yes, nice hair cut : )

There are many international forces facing any country’s economy for example state own enterprises – many countries are concerned about business putting pressure on governments to sell state owned services so that they can profit from them instead of the population. We can see which parties businesses are supporting and manipulating. Many of the businesses will choose which super powers to support and they will be actively influencing things so the people have to be super cautious about foreigners offering so called aid which is sometimes like giving you R 1000 and taking R20000 out of the country. There will also be many lies from many people not just one party so people need to check information before taking to the streets.

The DA will stay as long as they can. DA knows that ANC will be punished by voters and it will drop. DA wants to see ANC around 30% or so, then they will be equals. Because of funders, ANC will always be forced into coalition with DA, and thats a win for DA. DA doesnt have ambitions of getting more than 50% because they know that its impossible for them under current SA circumstances.

Incompetent ANC need to hand over more ministries to the DA, so we can get SA working again. Morons like Motsoaledi, and other ANC madalas will never fix our country. Let the DA sort things out, with Gayton.
