@TheMyeater

Add more rice that's not been boiled?

@TheMyeater

Haha akamu

@amaflavour7280

I will wash a little uncooked rice and stir it in and probably reduce the heating.

@lindseywendy

Cover it with napkin only
and it will be just fine

@FloChinyere

Thank you all for contributing with your expert tips! Will reveal what I would do in the next edition of WWYD. *wink!

@Visale

the best bet would be to turn up the heat and open d po'ts lid

@gazelle20111

☺️😊😀like your accent

@Chichichikito

I would drain off some of the water, transfer the rice to a new pot and say a little prayer.

@martinginkas9962

Turn up the heat and after some minutes get it down and leave it to cool down. If it is soft enough the rice will take up the water .

Easy peasy! Drain the rice, and let dry in a new pot! Happened a lot with me as a teenager!

@Queenofanime26

Goodness! I like your natural hair.

@daskizimz

I would like to know, this has been a problem everytime I try to make jollof rice. The rice cooks way to fast. I just stick to making rice and stew. I need a wife! LOL

@armywife2248

turn the heat off and cover the rice and let it sit. this is why i purchased a rice steamer, lol!

@TayeMaria

Hmmm what would I do?? I would drain out the water from the rice and stir the jollof rice very well and then leave it on heat for a few minutes

@chineloi.3617

I would try to sieve out some water then leave it open and on low heat for the rest of the cooking time. And serve with steamed vegetables and sliced baguette pieces.

@MrsBarbadianbeauty

Strain off the water

@alwaysdivine84

I would like to know the answer to the waterlogged jollof. It has happened to me many times. Only when i par-boil my rice though. So i tend to just add uncooked rice and it comes out perfect. Just as a guess though would i use a sieve to drain the water and then add the rice back to the pot on very low??

@CourtneyEhioghaeBLOG

Increase the heat and leave it open

@adaugoemerson8975

This could be a good idea but idk cuz this never happened to me or my mom when we are cooking rice. You can either put beans on one side of the rice and turn off the heat so it will absorb the water or get white rice not brown rice that doesn't stick cuz white rice absorbs the water and gets sticky. I know this cuz my dad bought white 3 bags to we have to eat it sticky together like that.

@chidum

What would you do if your ogbono won't draw?..I want the answer to that

I would use a multi step approach.
1) I will strain out as much of the excess liquid as possible into another saucepan
2) I will then boil down this strained out liquid, to reduce its volume
3) Finally I will add the reduced liquid back to the rice and continue cooking until its done.

@OreoluwaOO

You should reduce the heat and cover it with foil or cling film. It works.

@Evicreates

Increase the heat of the cooker..it will dry up faster I guess. This has not happened to me….

@ElszDoll

i would drain the remaining liquid into another pot, boil it the liquid till it evaporates till a small amount, and pour the small amount of liquid back into the jollof rice
