Egypt is better now in 2024. In terms of dress code, you can wear what you like. The only places you need to cover up is in mosques and churches. Everywhere else? Wear whatever you like. Tourists in short shorts, skirts, dresses, long pants etc. Just wear what you like

I do not get why women make such a big deal out of catcall, and being “violated” because a man stares at them mainly because they are knowingly exposing body parts….the purpose of which is to get attention.

"Egypt is a conservative country" basically means muslim country, also women have to respect the culture and not wear western clothes that show even shoulders, when the muslims go to USA or europe they don't need to respect the culture though and can go in burkas

Thank goodness Egypt is fundamentally a conservative, Islamic country. Think what it would be like if it were a liberal, Islamic country.

I understand the culture wants to take advantage of receiving gratuities from tourists- where do you get local cash (exchange bills) and how much do they expect?

Saddened to hear it's not typically safe to solo female travelers 🙁 I love traveling alone. I accept what you're saying and will take proper precautions! Thank you for creating this video! Egypt is beautiful and historical country; I can't wait to enjoy it <3

I went solo travelling to Egypt as a 28 year old woman and it was amazing. I did Luxor, Hurghada and Cairo. But maybe it helps that I look and speak Arabic because I’m North African.

First I have to say…I❤ Egypt and visit this interesting country since 1986. I travelling mostly alone and never had a real problem there, and I don't take tour guide, but did sometimes book a tour…by the tours I been mostly dissatisfied either as a scam, market tour or simply no show. But this can happen ALL over the world, and believe me I been since 1970 in over 75 countries and even been living in 12 of them a year or longer. Always been positive, friendly, informed and cautious and this will make your holiday's interesting and enjoyable.
