  1. I don't think it's a scam. Some people want to go on vacation and simply relax. And not everyone has a scarcity mindset. Traveling on budget is not the same experience as spending your holiday in the luxurious hotel stress free.

  2. Thank you for supporting local businesses and supporting the locals. the money those big hotels make goes to offshore accounts so nevermind local businesses not getting a dime, but even in terms of taxes etc. thank you for the lovely video.

  3. Just posting here to say I knew them when when they only had 125k subscribers. All you people showing up when they have 2 million are late to the party.

  4. Great video. Wholeheartedly agree with the message about meaningful tourism. Don't assume, though, that people staying in fancy resorts dont travel that way. My new wife and I are visiting on honeymoon and staying in some expensive places but are down to earth travellers who have done all the budget overlanding, hostels, backpacking etc. Seychelles will be my 54th country 😊 sometimes it's nice to have luxury, just don't forget where you came from

  5. If you come for entertainment, Shopping and sex tourism Seychelles is not for you and should go to South east Asia or South America. If you come for tranquility, beautiful adventures trekking, beaches, sun and sea, scuba diving, fishing and a relaxing honeymoon Seychelles will fit your bucket list. That is why it is a beautiful and expensive destination to visit. Seychelles does not welcome backup packer😅 or hostels like tourists. You must have a good budget to visit this country. The Seychelles is unique by a thousand miles as it is the only island in the middle of an ocean formed by granitic boulders. Seychelles has two UNESCO's heritage sites protected for the benefit of humanity. One third of the country's territory is protected as marine or conservation parks. We are the smallest country in Africa not the world. We have a small population that does not mean we do not have deficiencies and problems. Climate changes are affecting our islands, illegal drugs and alcohol consumption, not enough local workers to satisfy the demand in some industries that makes the importation of foreign workforce. We have also achieved things that should be recognised like the highest GDP per capita in Africa, the strongest passport in Africa, less corrupt country in Africa, high literacy rate, 100% electricity connection to everyone in need, also portable water. Education and health are provided to all Seychellois. There are many social benefits provided for those in need, e.g social housing, social security benefits, disabled benefits, free food for public schools, free transport for all public schools and those that does not meet the requirements of minimum salary income set by the state can apply for social benefits. If you qualify for university it is paid by the state. We are a democratic country and the plaque you see on the flag posts is the constitution preamble that clearly states the rights of all its citizens. The small clock is the miniature of the one in London it is a symbol of our colonial past by the British. Seychelles has it's human inhabitants for the past 250 years by the Europeans masters, Africans slaves, Indian and Chinese merchants. All these races had mixed together to form the Creole nation that we are today . Seychelles was first colonised by the French, then the British and got its independence in 1976, a one party state from 1977 to 1993 after a coup detat and a Democratic country since then with free elections every 5 years to choose our leaders.

  6. As a seychellois frankly, I know how expensive it can be, especially for tourists and people visiting. Its soo nice and refreshing to see you find out all the little tips and tricks 😂 to save your money here… well done and good job👏

  7. I have been there many times on cruise ships. One day I took the local bus out to the four seasons and kempenski. Both resorts allowed me to use their private beaches and pools. On another trip I caught a private tour from mahe Victoria to both preslin and la duque cost was 50 euros. I took local transportation on outer islands. You can also take the bus and hang out on the north shore.

  8. We just got back from. Seychelles after staying in a villa. You got get out meet the locals they are some of the most happy lovely people we met. We went with our two young children to experience the amazing place. All we ask is respect the island and it's people don't litter don't do what we did see people doing standing on coral that suffering so bad already so it can be something for others to see and enjoy for the future.
Hire a car it's easy to get round roads are better than most here in the UK and don't be scared to talk and ask locals about areas they give you the best information.

  9. How do you travel in extremely sunny places and not get full of sun freckles? Do you put on a ton of SPF50 every three hours or what is the trick? I would be afraid of sun exposure for so long

  10. "It a line where local culture ends and a strange, artificial reality begins". Perfectly put and I prefer your travelling style over the resort type. Thanks for all the tips and highlights.
