  1. "We should prioritize "X" over profit." My brother in Christ, the only reason for the surplus IS the profit, when there is no incentive to produce a surplus why would anyone work to make it?

  2. Adding one I’ve almost fallen prey to several times over my life – gambling.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a game of poker and blackjack and I believe adults should be allowed to enjoy such things, but gambling has become so normal beyond casinos. With all the different sports betting sites and apps, gambling mechanics in mobile and online games, it’s no longer an adult-oriented thing.
I was lucky enough to recognize I was developing a problem and I corrected myself, but we all probably know someone who plays a little too much for their own good.

  3. How about circumcision, it-s downright barbaric, you have NO say in the matter since most people who get it are when they are newborns, it's most commonly practiced in the US but it's insane. Thankfully I am not circumcised but it's wild to me how that is "normal" because it's "hygienic", how about you teach your kid how to wash down there instead?

  4. 3:24 I mean, that can seem inconvenient or unfair if you have no other frame of reference other than 'what you want things to be like for you' but consider the fact that before the industrial revolution and the acceleration of western society people literally HAD to work all day or they would starve to death. You had to make your own clothing, grow your own food, prepare for the winter etc. and this required getting up early and working all day. You had no choice. Either work your ass off or you couldn't survive….

  5. How much impact the online mob has on the real world. While i'm all for power to the people, the people have to be sensable and logical to use their power for the proper reasons.

The insanity of online hate mobs and people falling for literally anything online has become so normalized in todays society. Even business somehow take these people seriously.

A lot of the time these people have mental health issues and unaddressed trauma. When you think about it, we've basically given the mentally unhindged more power than some politicians, let that sink in.

  6. The alcohol illegal topic at 20:18 must not be big on history because we tried that and it went horribly wrong.
Apparently arresting people for the consumption and distribution of a drug that people used regularly would result in powerful gangs and mass death.

Makes you think about the cartels and its similarities with the 1920s mafias selling alcohol

  7. Not me listening to this video as I’m at my second job because I can’t afford to live on just one income. I also have a family I have to provide for and have little ones who my wife is raising at home…. Yay for life in America 🫠

  8. The daycare one is kind of stupid. My son is learning a hell of a lot more there than he would here. I dont know how to teach so I would just educate him on whatever Im doing. The cost must suck for everyone tho. I lucked out and I'm paying $100/week and then he's in school next year.

Children as a whole would be way worse off if they were being stuck at home with parents watching The Price is Right and whatever replaced Springer instead of developing socially and learning something at a minimum. Eventually the feds will wise up and make childcare more affordable as its the nunber one reason people dont have kids right now, and the feds are freaking out at the dropping birth rates. It's inevitable

  9. 3:18 is straight up criminal, what is all this extra insurance for? They could probably get away with charging more for insurance if it was all the same company too but it’s not and that’s just wrong.
Another thing that is wrong is definitely normalizing 5 day work weeks, straight up evil, that’s working 70% of your lives, and with how little vacation time you earn per month is crazy

  10. Accepting a lot of inappropriate and downright abusive behaviour from girls and women. Out of place manipulative crying, expecting you to be 24/7 available and having a panic attack when you reply them a bit later than usual because you were busy/having a nap/watching something etc, saying rude things to you, even if you ask them not to do that, politely, making it almost impossible to show feeling and seek understanding from them. I am not talking about all girls here but a lot of people think that this is normal and even go as far as blaming the man for "not being good enough" even if he is right. I am not saying all girls are bad but that they can be as abusive, cruel and toxic as boys/men and just because they are the "gentler gender" doesn't mean that abusive from their side is normal. I mean I heard stories of how girls punched, hit and bit their boyfriends and a lot of people shrug it off or said "what did you do to get your girl so mad, probably deserved it". Abuse is abuse no matter who perpetrates it and both men and women have hard lifes as well. None has it nicer, just we have different problems and we maybe should cooperate to understand each other rather than engaging in gender wars.
