I appreciate the reporter mentioning HTS was "formerly linked to Al-Qaeda. I feel like Western Media and Aljazeera are strangely joined at the hip on this war. I see the same tactic of framing the Rebel fighters and HTS in particular as Pro Democracy Syrian Rebel Forces where as HTS is basically Al-Qaeda Lite. You don't join a radical Islamic Group like ISIS or Al-Qaeda that regularly commits terrorist attacks on civilians and massacres people who aren't Islamic enough and swears to kill every Jew and Westerner they find and then turn around and become a Freedom Fighter who believes men and women are equal and there should be religious freedom and justice for all. I imagine if you were to ask most HTS supporters whether Syria should be a Democracy or a Theocracy with Sharia Law, you would get the former almost to a man. I imagine they wouldn't be very excepting of people of Jewish Heritage or homosexuals. I also imagine they aren't in favor of allowing women to show their face in public or letting them vote or drive a car. Yet Western Media and apparently Aljazeera think these Rebels are the "good guys" Champions of social justice and democracy when most them would probably hang you in the town square if you were to travel to their territory and preach your liberal woke values. It's actually very sick on the part of the West to side with the literal scum of the earth, the most evil fanatical, die hard barbarians who regularly commit war crimes so long as they oppose Russia or Assad or any other nation or group the West hates. I think if the NAZI's still existed today and they were trying to oust Assad and opposed Putin the Western Press would downplay their anti sematic racist overtones and present them as Pro Freedom and Democracy. That's just how we roll. I wish Aljazeera was different but let's face it you have American soldiers in your country and they are also illegally squatting on Syria in violation of International Law and they have nukes so you have to report this conflict the way the United States want you to. I get it. I don't blame you, I blame the West that started this narrative that anyone who opposes Assad is good even if they are the Spawn of Satan and kill women and children.
