I think the US paying for food and medicine to keep people from starving is a good thing, even if they are not american citizens. To be fair, not all the money was spent that well, but even things that are not of humanitarian nature might be worth the money. Sometimes spending that money is just about gaining influence. If you stop spending that money, it will come from nations that are unfriendly to the US and that might cost the american people more money down the road than it will save them now. Just because the consequences aren't immediate and hard to predict and quantify, doesn't mean there won't be any. I don't get a say in it, I'm not a US citizen. I just think completely scrapping USAID is a bad idea.

USAID funds 300 NGOs in Nepal. The journalists in nepal has figured out that only 1% of fund goes to designated project and people. 99% of the money is spent on admin, management and corruption by people running the NGO. By the way 75% of NGOs in Nepal are ran by communists party stooges. What an irony.

The other countries need to give assistance to other countries, as well. It's not fair to just leave it all on the US to help the world. Let the US feed, clothes and house its homeless and keep its other citizens from becoming homeless.
