Please don’t use clickbait with sensationalist titles. Most athletics fans are genuinely just interested in the sport and will engage regardless

Tebogo IS the face of sprinting, despite him saying that he's not. He definitely proved that chasing Rai Benjamin in the 4×400 final.

We're priveleged to witness this guy.

Tebogo is a great sprinter , the best around. But remember, that 300m was in Pretoria which is at altitude. At altitude here in South Africa you can almost fly. Pity Bolt never ran here.

Jewish descent Polish runner Irena Szewinska (née Kirszenstein) held world records
in the 100 m, 200 m and 400 m simultaneously. She won medals at four Olympic Games.
I am pretty sure she is the only athlete to have won Olympic medals in the 400 m (gold) and long jump (silver)

  29. @Leonidas-eu9bb says:

He needs to get under 44 1st.
The 300 WR doesn't really count because of the high elevation.

Tebogo has no chance to break the 100 or 200 world record. His best chance is 400m

Being realistic he's NOT getting close to the 400m WR this race. I think it would be crazy impressive if he 'only' broke the 44 barrier as that'd put him in the group of currently 3 athletes who have gone sub-10, sub-20 and sub-44 respectively. My predictions are a 44-low, depending on how hard he pushes. If he decides to jog the final 50m then it might be a high-44 but otherwise most likely a low-44, or a high-43 at best! He is 100% the most all round talented sprinter (or even athlete) in the world right now and absolutely has the potential to go sub-9.80, sub-19.50, sub 31 and sub 44 at some point.

As for what he's going to focus on this season, he said somewhere he's running the 100/200 double this year and might move to the 200/400 double when he's older. I think the best time to do that would be in 2026 as there's no major championships, however there are the World Ultimate Championships where some athletes such as Tebogo, Kenny B and possibly Rai Benjamin could run different races than they would normally!
