  1. I remember getting a sample set of the first Reserve soap lineup. Spice and Cool fragances were so close to their inspirations, but the biggest surprise was Classic! I had never smelled Gillette Sun Up but Classic made such a huge impression… I hope B&M bring it back sometime 🙏🏻

  2. I also have some Barrister and Mann Shaving Soaps and matching After Shave Balms where possible which I really like. I don't have any of the ones featured here but I have others in their range like 'Passifloria' (original release in black tub, now also re-released in a hot pink tub), 'Vespers', 'Artique', and 3 samples of their 'Four Horseman (of the Apocalypse)' range: 'Famine', 'Plague', and 'War'. And I'm just about to buy and try their Hand and Body Soap 'Seville'. Have fun.

  3. Best splashes on the market. Period. I've gone through bottles of Waves and Cool, and currently have Spice and Cologne Russe in my shave den. (picked up Cologne Russe when I found out it was being discontinued, which is a travesty, but what can you do)

  4. Top tier base. Rich and Thirsty with great post shave moisturization. Scents I like – Seville, le grand chypre, waves. Nordost is an excellent seasonal scent. RE is really expanding.

  5. Just got la grande chypre the other day. It smells good. Honestly it smells like duet cola if you just sniff it without examining the different notes and complexity.

  6. I need to try one of these my first soap from them was their newer one called Marylin but it was a disappointment for me because I had heard so much good about b&m and it stunk unfortunately

  7. Yes, another great product line to carry at Razor Emporium. B&M is one of my favorite soap companies and you mention some other top shelf selections as well. Super performing and unique scents make this a quality choice anytime. PAA, Sterling, Ariana & Evans, TOBS ETC., ETC., the list goes on and on right. So many to choose from and so little time to do so. Thanks again Matt, see ya soon.

  8. Nice collection and what I really like is that they have a splash, balm and shave soap for all scents. Cremo dropped the ball because they don't make products to match all of their scents. You buy a sandalwood cream, but they don't have a sandalwood balm. Or a soap to match. You buy the oak barrel soap or body wash and there is not matching shaving cream. It's very annoying because who wants to use a sandalwood shaving cream on top of an oak barrel body wash after shampooing with a birch shampoo? No one does. This week I tried my first tallow based shave cream/soap and enjoyed it, but I did notice that for me to clear the razor I had to use hot water. As a cold shaver I've been enjoying Van der Hagen shave soap because it easily rinses clean in cold water. It's really not that big of a deal to switch over to hot for a rinse, but I'm worried that maybe I'm doing something wrong. Oh, and one more thing….I love that they don't put cloves in their Bay Rum. Cloves are just too strong. 🙂

  9. Great review, Matt! I only recently had gotten Full Measure of Man (soap and AS) from B&M because it was being discontinued and I am a sucker for tobacco scented soaps. It lathered great and the scent of sweet tobacco lasted a long time. This is a good indicator of the quality of B&M products. Looking forward to purchasing Seville and Spice products from you soon! 😊👊

  10. Seville is absolutely perfect. It's in my top 3. The lemon is not sweet like lemonade, but a savory lemon that was squeezed onto a plate of spicy food.

  11. Barrister and Mann did release a few special edition and seasonal fragrances at times, too, like Fougere Gothique, Fougere Angelique, Promises, and Dickens (and Dickens Revisited). Out of a lot of shave products that I've used, B&M has some of the most niche-leaning scents that I've tried with very interesting notes in their scents. Both them and Southern Witchcrafts have products that are certainly off the beaten path! 😁
