This sounds like how I would sound in my early 20s, when I was in my radical black consciousness era.
Being soft does not mean you are allowing anyone to step over you. While I do agree that the divine feminine complements the divine masculine, it’s not a woman’s job to “activate” anything in a man unless that man is her son and she’s teaching him righteous principles. Black women were in "warrior mode" for decades. Black women have been "defending and protecting" black men for so long. It is not our responsibility to make a man strong and masculine. That is his biological make-up, and if he's not in his masculine, he has some serious healing to do, which is also not a black woman’s responsibility. I do agree that there is a time and place for everything, but black women have been in our masculine for too long and that is why so many of us align with a “soft life” because it promotes subtle healing through leisure, ease and rest, which is a luxury for a lot of us as black women. So many of us have spent our most youthful adult years being of service to others and mothering adult men. As a collective, black women are TIRED. Allow us to bask in our season of selfishness. Let the men figure it out for once. And yes, women can certainly reign and prosper in our softness.
If social media is confusing them that just means they’re weak. I’m not coming out of my soft life for nobody lol. Imma be selfish and the real masculine men will appreciate it.
