A lot of us who have learned to pray in church have basically turned the humming and "thank you Jesus" you are doing at church into prayer 😅. I also used to (and sometimes do) judge the way I pray in corporate settings, because there is always that one friend in my prayer circle that can pray a little longer or in tongues or thinks to pray for something I might have forgotten in the list of prayer points we are all gathered around. But just like reading the bible, prayer takes practise. Thats why I appreciate Jesus for saying we will know him so well that we won't have to be taught by somene else, He will teach us. And what better way to learn than to practise. Prayer is chats with him, time with him. I'm glad you've found a work-around the distracting sound of others praying at church, and I hope anyone else watching this or reading my comments also asks God to help them find His peace and voice in the (honestly beautiful) loud noise of corporate prayer.
